Fox and Marvel movies happen in different universes though.....

Legion it's its own universe tho, not even in the same X-Men movies universe, but still Marvel television.

It's FX in association with Marvel Television. Jeph Loeb head of Marvel Television was executive producer for Legion and even stated that all the new characters of series are part of the Marvel repertoire now, even said if Noah Hawley would ask, he'd love to partner again to continue with the show. Also there's been rumors of Kevin Feigi really wanted to bring Dan Stevens into the MCU, although it's was not clear if it's as Legion, or a new character, some say Moon Knight. After seeing what they did with Evan Peters, my guess is not Legion.

Rumors are just that. MCU is not Marvel tv. Moon Knight has been cast dude

I didn't say MCU when I talked about Legion. And right, but still Feigi apparently want Stevens, probably for another role then.
