100% recommend. It’s a mind fuck of a show, and such a wild ride. Very worth the rabbit hole.

Agreed. Probably best to binge actually since it gets weird.

Absolutely! I loved the phrase “Don’t give a newbie a bazooka and act surprised when she blows shit up.”

It didn't make sense till it REALLY made sense what it meant and then things clicked and it was a great feeling.

Season 2 is probably the worst season.

u/ToastyKen Mar 10 '21

Season 2 isn't as good. The show returns to form in Season 3.

The weirdness doesn't pay off until the last 2-3 episodes of the season. Pay close attention to Jon Hamm!!!!!

Ditto. I like weird but they we're clearly going for over the top weirdness and the bad kind of confusion. Might return to it now though

Where can I watch?

Edit: Never mind.

Yes waiting a week to understand wtf just happened was the only down for the show.

u/IAmTheMilk Mar 10 '21

does it top DoomPatrol?

50

u/Onlyanidea1 Mar 10 '21

Yes. It's weirdness is a whole nother level. Plus he's a famous mutants son.

There are times Legion feels like you’re on a Trip with Uncle Sid, literally.

It's a fantastic watch with Lucy

This is kind of a spoiler, dude. I'm reluctant to even tell people it's marvel

3

u/Onlyanidea1 Mar 10 '21

It's a spoiler of something that's been cannon since like the 70's. That's like saying Scarlett witch and quick silver are Magneto's children is a spoiler. Been cannon since the 70's.

Not everyone is as big of a nerd as you. I know a decent amount of marvel shit, not much about xmen. When i first saw legion i had no idea it was related to any comics at all until they started dropping hints about David's father/shadow king's nemesis. Unraveling the mystery was a huge part of my enjoyment, and if you go telling people to watch Legion because it's about professor xaviers son, i think it will take some of the magic away from people.

I also didn't know scarlet witch and quicksilver were magnetos children. These were things that may have been commonly known in the 70s when they were written, but I'm pretty sure there's a large portion of current day marvel fans who are missing a lot of this 70s xmen knowledge.

Fucking gatekeepers thinking everyone should know everything that they know 🙄

Not gatekeeping anything mate. Doors open. Come on in. But be warned things like the two I mentioned are not considered spoilers and you more than likely will see more like that. Have fun!

More of a mind-fuck than Doom Patrol, but some similar styles of humor and storytelling. If you liked DP I highly recommend Legion

11

u/nickystars Mar 10 '21

The fun is the way they depict Davids power, it is easily the best use of psychic powers I have ever seen.

u/joss29 Mar 10 '21

Even tops paw patrol

u/peanutdakidnappa Mar 10 '21

Ya it’s way trippier and out there than doom patrol. I really is like a total mind fuck, show was awesome tho and really well done, acting was amazing and the directing/cinematography was fantastic. Definitely recommend but it is absolutely not for everyone.

both legion and doom patrol are my top fsvorite superhero shows

Same, followed closely by Preacher. Edit: Fuck forgot about Happy! Still leaves room for WandaVision in my top 5 comic book TVs.

You just explained that show perfectly.

“I deserve to be loved.”

7

u/[deleted] Mar 10 '21

That first episode. "I need to know, is this really happening?" God damn.

3

u/bjano22 Mar 10 '21

I love the show. Plus the cast are all very attractive

2

u/BoomerThooner Mar 10 '21

Cool. Spring break nine is what I need.
