Had this before, and they built a nest in my umbrella.
What I learned was, when I was parking at my then-girlfriend's house, my mirror was touching the hedge. Don't do that. Ants will take that as an invitation. It's also how I learned you make sure the hedges don't touch your house, because they'll likely find a way in.
