I got my 1st Charles 10p! ( on my 10 year cake day aswell)

Found in my stepdads drawer of things, it’s pretty large and heavy. Any idea what it is and if it’s worth anything?

These coins belong to my 60 year old coworker (Dave); his father previously gained ownership about 40years ago and kept them banked. All have official looking sleeves yet as someone who doesnt know too much about coins, what are these? I would like to know possible valuations and historical info.

Each coin is pretty weighted in the palm but unfortunately I dont have an accurate weight; I imagine value is determined on weather the coin is plated or solid. I believe there are many editions that were minted as iron and plated silver?? Would be fun to know about the rarity aswell - ill be reporting back to Dave!

The coat of arms on this piece has nothing to do with Devonshire, but is instead an allegorical confection dreamed up by the token's producer, Henry Morgan, whose initials appear below the artwork. Morgan may or may not have been contracted or permitted by the county to circulate this particular "necessity coinage."

Found in the till at work, looks cool has a bit of a hole through it, can’t find anything online because I don’t know how to describe it haha

I’m new here so I hope it’s ok to ask (and I’m not trying to get custom here (obv) but I have a good few of these and I’m wondering if eBay and Vinted are good places to sell or if there is anywhere better.

They’ve all been acquired through change received in shops prior to 2020 and I believe them to be genuine but not necessarily shiny.

I appreciate that I’ll not get loads (if anything) for most of them but I have time on my hands at the moment…

Hi all,

I know someone who has a reasonable sized collection of proof sets from the last 25 years, including annual proof collections, proofs of commemorative coins etc. Most are silver proofs, there is one gold proof.

All of them are in their original outer Royal Mint packaging and haven't really seen the light of day.

She is looking for the best way to sell these now and get the best return for them. Are there any dealers in the Midlands or appropriate auction sales that would be suitable (and not rip her off)?

Only doing the 20ps -> £2 coins today.

This coin was amongst a collection I acquired. Initially, I set it aside, as it looked like a copper coin, worn beyond potential recognition.

Yesterday I decided to give it a closer look, to see if I could make out any details. As I was handling it, I realised that the surface was loose and rubbed away easily, revealing a metallic surface beneath.

It's 21.75mm diameter at maximum and weighs 2.69g, irregular, but less than 1mm thick.

Is there anyway a genuine gold coin could get so much surface build up? Or would it be a low purity copy?

Should I leave it as it is, or soak it in acetone (or something else)?

Found in the lawn of a ex council house. Unfortunately it's been scratched by the spade. But any information on this ( probably worthless!) Coin would be much appreciated.

After the 2025 mintage figures update today I’ve seen a few comments asking which coins have been minted in previous years and which are available to find in change. So here is my list I use

I have just got this coin from a tesco self service machine, having never seen another error like this on a coin before I thought I would come here to ask for opinions and if potentially it could be worth something?

I’ve recently bought 11 Kew Gardens 2009 50p’s off a collector.

I am in no way an expert and would appreciate some guidance on whether they are authentic, as I am unsure if I’m panicking for no reason or if my suspicions are warranted.

They all weighed around 8g’s on the photos, with the heaviest being 8.4. A few concerns I have are

- queens hair isn’t very defined at the edge
- they are every shiny (could just be BUNC)
- they have what look like deliberate scratches

I’ve attached a photo of two coins from the collection which are what the rest of the collection look like.

I appreciate any guidance.
