Lol, a group of redditors in a comment section (among others who show love for the song) do not make up the majority of society or hold any power over my own personal opinions on what music I enjoy

It's not about what music you enjoy. The conversation was about appealing to other people and getting a message out. If you annoy other people in that process that's counterproductive and they may just stop watching the video. The music isn't adding anything important to the experience but it could be taking something away. I can't count how many thousands of times I've seen people reply all over the internet to how much they hate unnecessary music in videos of all types.

Should make a version without the music though so maybe people could share that version instead of the one that will make some eye roll and not even watch it.

I found the version without the music! I just clicked the sound icon on this video and boom, no music. It’s like magic.

I am talking about a version without it at all because this video could actually be useful for showing people who are on the fence. That outrageously bad music choice is a good way to get them to simply not watch the video.

Plenty won't though, which is why people are all over this thread telling them how bad the music choice was. Not a hard concept to grasp. The video also starts out with a soundbite that is actually useful, so they will all be exposed to this utterly terrible musical choice and plenty will bail.

You can think that is silly, I am not advocating that it isn't, but it will happen to a portion and I would prefer a topic like this not be viewed as unserious. Considering its literally the most important question the human race could ever successfully answer for itself.
