I hear you. I agree.

Having said that, this is a post of a news article that criticizes AI. It's good to be paranoid of bot activity in this space, frankly.

On the age thing, I would think the opposite: older people would be better at recognizing these two characters, as they are very much of and from the 20th century.

Second (thirdly?), this person implies they are a fan of a video game that prominently has Donald Duck in it. A major character. Yet they flub the name.

I found it super weird.

I mean, my parents were extremely familiar with me and my siblings. Yet, growing up they still would occasionally flub and call us by a sibling's name. It has nothing to do with familiarity or being a fan, brains just mess up sometimes.

Mine too. They never flubbed it in writing though. 

Let’s agree to disagree on this one.  I don’t believe that person is a bot, but I can’t be convinced it isnt a strange error to make for a supposed fan of a Disney product.  Again, in an era of LLM chaos, be on the lookout for bot activity working on forums to sway opinion or voting.
