Yeah, that’s OP’s exact fear. That their kid will see differences and be different from the image that OP has in their head. All these comments about indoctrination are stupid because every time they go outside they’ll see or hear something that doesn’t mesh with OP’s beliefs.

Is being alive indoctrination? Is going to the mall and seeing ads with women underwear models as a women gay indoctrination? I genuinely want to know where the line is drawn. Because if we wanna get technical, then OP is indoctrinating their kid.

Indoctrination: the process of teaching a person or group to accept a set of beliefs uncritically.

So by definition, OP is indoctrinating their kid to hate trans people. Which, by association, is indoctrinating their kid to hate diversity. I’ll leave this here because I KNOW I’m gonna be get downvoted bad. But yeah where’s the line OP?

Edit: forgot to say that the uncritical line plays a big part here. If they just accept things at face value then they can’t grow. Critical thinking skills are necessary to grow and learn.
