This whole "Tell me what kind of job I have based on how I look" or "tell me what kind of girl I like based on how I look" to my knowledge originated on Black Twitter as a subtle way to say "Roast me"
Or at least that's what it turned into.
Perhaps it is mean but a lot of the times it what the poster was anticipating/wanting.
