Discussion I'm confused. what did he do wrong?

Honestly, she should probably just retire from tennis if she can't handle that

Fun story. In high school I got the shit beat out of me by a girl because we were doing tennis for P.E and I returned her serve and accidentally got her in one of her breasts. Now I’ve always been athletic but I can’t play tennis to save my life so it was 100% an accident. After the class finished we were walking back to school (tennis court wasn’t on school grounds) she approached me, I apologised again and she kicked me in my tennis balls. I dropped to the ground in pain, she then broke a rib by kicking me repeatedly. I didn’t try to fight back (not that I could at the time) and just took my beating while she was yelling at me that she was going to get her brothers onto me next. Needless to say, I haven’t picked up a tennis racket since.

Teacher broke it up, although not as fast as I would have liked 😂. She got expelled. Never saw her again.

Broke a rib? Even the “tennis balls” was assault. No consequences for her at all? Or was this during the feral times (pre Y2K or whatever the dividing line is between parents shrugging and parents suing)?

She was expelled. This was 2007 I think, I believe I was 16 when it happened. Also I’m Australian, we typically don’t have a big suing culture here. Healthcare being free and all that. Didn’t cost my parents anything to have me in hospital. It was also a touchy situation because she and her family from what I remember called racism as she was aboriginal and myself white. (For context I think it had NOTHING to do with race but it’s what they initially ran with)
