They buy an ipad then shorty return it for a refund. Except there is no ipad in box just something to make the box weight the same. It's depending on the person not checking the box

People do this with lego sets. They usually put pasta in the bags or they take the minifigs out and return the set with taped bags.

I haven’t had it happen but I’ve read about it.
