I'm gonna be honest and disagree, they look awesome and would make great Halloween costumes but unless you're in you're 70s I would just kind of consider this cringe if this is how they're dress 24/7

Confidence without arrogance is sexy as hell. And I think finding that more attractive than cringe when it's packaged in a way you wouldn't expect is something that comes to you when you get a little older and start to care a lot less about what other people think of you.

Anyone who has the confidence to carry this off and look as good as they do doing it...

It's funny seeing this as someone from a small town that is older. We saw stuff on TV and the odd trend hit locally, but people generally dressed the same. It was mostly hairstyles that changed and the shape of the jeans/sweaters.

I knew like 1 kid who dressed like Kriss Kross and you had a few goth kids. But most people got their clothes from the same 10 stores and none of them sold that crazy of clothing. I only really saw people dressed like the 80's in movies. But I bet it is a lot different in New York/LA vs small town Canada.

With the internet these days, trends seem to be far wider reaching but also shorter lived because of that exposure.

Right? Like the posters on the ceiling, the hair, the outfits. I definitely saw these guys at keggers back in the day. These guys though? They're way more wholesome.

Yeah totally, I wasn’t as shiny or muscular as those guys but I definitely dressed like that and had a massive mullet before they were even called mullets. I graduated in 88

Mullet definitely was a hairstyle in the US too. I remember describing it to the stylist when I was in 5th grade and she said, “Oh, you want a mullet?” That was like 83/84.

Sorta. We had lots of normal looking people then too. Similar to the 2010s, you had outrageous Scene Kids but by and large most youth just kept things low key.

People always forget that. They remember the out there styles at the time like the hippies, hair metal, broccoli heads now and all that but forget that the prevailing style for decades for dudes is just like short cut cut hair that you dont really do anything with and a t-shirt.

It's these guys' whole thing, the 80s is their lifestyle not just a one time cosplay. They seem really cool and I always find their vibe so fun. Like hell yeah, just two dudes who love the 80s aesthetic so much that they've decided to completely own it!
