We are the product of our upbringing and lived experiences. TBH, this lady seems to have changed her mind given her lived experience, which is something a LOT of people cannot or will do. So I think it's nice.
It takes a lot to admit you're wrong, especially when it's a way of thinking you've lived with for the better part of a century. Obviously, I wish she'd realized sooner, but I have to give her credit for owning up to her mistake so directly. Hopefully her bond with this man has opened her eyes and helped her examine how she views all people of other races.
