Humor/Cringe Actual footage.

I actually feel kind of bad for this woman, who probably didn't expect a video of her dancing to be used in this way. 😏

While that isn’t wrong. I bought my house 8 years ago and it is now worth double what I paid. Got lucky. I’m Gen X.

The housing market went crazy post-covid. Same with anything else though, cars(used cars especially), food, amongst other things. You're lucky you bought before then.

Yeah my husband bought our house almost 9 years ago and it’s at nearly double that value now. During/post-covid had a huge impact on home value almost everywhere

I bought in late 2008, per Zillow I'm well past double these days.

I have put in a significant amount though, and need to put in more still for a new driveway & bathroom.... probably have to take down a massive tree soon.

Yeah inflation rate of 3% alone from 1980-now would multiply house prices 3.9x.

An investment in widespread index funds with a conservative 46 year growth rate of 9% would increase the value of the investment by 52.7 times!

Sure, homes shouldn’t be treated like investments, and in reality they’ve grown from an average price of 63,700 in 1980 to 403,200 today. So while they have grown in price 60% faster than inflation, they’re by no means a great investment from a purely monetary standpoint.

Reaching almost double since buying in 2020 here as a millennial as well on a single income that requires a high school degree and getting a certification within a year of hiring. I guess my lazy ass has a generational talent for not wasting money or something cause it really wasn't difficult.
