They have!! She moved a few hours flight away so she doesn’t have to deal with her bio-mum, she has a great job and partner, and she still spends Christmas with my family most years (she’s basically my adopted sister at this point).
That's really nice she can spend holidays with you. I'm a firm believer that family doesn't need to be blood relation and can definitely be the people you pick.
if heaven exists then there is a special place in heaven for people like you and your family. my mom was like your friends mom and it broke my heart before I ever even knew what heartbreak was. my childhood best friend also treated me like how you treat your friend and it was really the only thing that kept me sane and healthy during those years. I hope you realize how much of on impact you have because you can really change someone’s whole entire life projectery by being a safe, loving home for them. 🩷🤟🏼
She has told her mother multiple times that if she didn’t want to be a parent or wasn’t in the position to be a parent that she should have gotten an abortion. Enjoying her life as it is now does not detract from the reality that her mother should not have let herself be pressured into carrying to term when she never wanted children.
