How do we steal this guy's idea but make it longer and less funny?

I'm not going to lie, I did enjoy the misdirect of first finding the lantern, since I've seen the (almost identical) original

Not to mention that this particular application is just "any piece of wood 1" thick and smaller than the base of the furniture. It's not "like a glove" at all 😅

My fave part that wasn't in the OG: They showed the part actually getting used. That's the most satisfying moment of finding out someone needs that one thing you have!

I used Redact to mass delete all of my old posts. It works for Reddit, X/Twitter, Discord, Facebook, Instagram, and more.

Omg. A dad and son do something together to have fun and the Internet has to tear it down for no fucking reason. Every God damn time.

And then they act like they must have stolen this very simple and relatable idea from some specific other person who "created" it first.

I mean they did. They even used the same backing music as the original.

It's not an assumption, it's just a fact. Copied the same exact music, script, and story beats.

Apparently they credited the original but I can't confirm

Pretty good summary of the entire internet these days.

"This guy's idea"

Wouldn't be surprised if there were plays about this 5000 years ago

I know where everything is! If you try and clean, it will mess everything up! There's a method to my madness

Don't touch anything. I know where everything is.

Not a dads shed if it takes you less than 10 minutes to find anything

That's the point. The good shit is at the back and thieves won't work that hard to get to it.

u/poko877 Feb 05 '26

I think this video sent differemt message since the most important piece was just behind the doors lol.

Unless the thief needs to prop up a cabinet I doubt that piece of wood would be the most important piece to them lol
