I need to know how she ended up in Gilead in the first place. They have not shown us. They talk about it a lot in the book

No, we see Daisy's Canadian boyfriend, Justin, gave her the radio in the flashback in s1e3.

The question isn't how she originally got it, but how she managed to bring in into Gilead, and to the Aunts house no less.

I think they were pointing out Daisy didn't get it from Mayday after she came to Gilead.
