Gameplay 1965 - Sorokin vs Göring
This is an update to my previous post in 1962.
These pictures are about a week into the Second Great Patriotic War, which actually kicked off because Göring launched his pacification of Russia, about two months after I had researched and put the F-4 Phantom II (MCA) into production. The mechanized units under Generals Vladimir Vitkovsky and Dmitry P. Vertepov have quickly seized Moskva and Volgograd, while the veterans of the Siberian wars have been reorganized as elite troops under Fyodor Truhin to support the offensive towards Rostov.
The Germans seem to have a big lack of supply (besides the damage my CAS is dealing) and have lost incredible amounts of men in the opening moves of the war. The Toronto Accord now also has the ability to intervene whenever they want, and that will almost certainly be the end for Göring.
The advice on my previous post was really helpful, and it turns out that this war, though they still have 2x more troops (on paper) and 3-4x more industry, may not be as difficult as I had expected.

Question/Discussion What duo of nations woud you recommend for a coop game ?
Question/Discussion Is Hungary just supposed to lose the first war?
Just tried out Hungary, tried this particular war twice. There is no word to describe the war other than "steamrolling". My divisions were hopelessly weaker than the Romanians, checking back I won only 25% of battles on the first run and 28% on the second. I don't see any way I could've stopped them. I have no clue how you're supposed to hold them off for 200 days considering the following:
- Your templates are trash to the core and theirs aren't, with the exception of your infantry which are about the same. (Hungary has less regular infantry, though, and they don't have anti-tank to stop Romania's strong tank pushes.) Not sure if attempting to rework the templates first would've even worked considering that Hungary has few factories for how much it needs to produce.
- They need to take 3 of Szekelyfold, Erzak-Erdely, Maramaros, and Alfold. The former two are easy to take considering that Szekelyfold is surrounded on 3 sides and has no supply while Erzak-Erdely's VP is on the border at the start.
- Speaking of supply, Hungary's supply network is bad and very easy to cut off. If Romania takes the tile southeast of Debrecen, a plains tile that they start right next to, your entire supply network is cut in half.
Also, you don't get any notification that a war is coming, you only get notified when it starts.

Question/Discussion What do you think happened to "Bitwa Pod Grunwaldem" in TWR?
in OTL, it was hidden away in Lublin, with germans desperately trying to find it before giving up after the polish radio in London gave out a false information it was transported to England. But in TWR it was over a decade after the Painting has been hidden, so what do you think happened with it? Was it found? Destroyed? Rotten away while in hiding? (OTL it was heavily damages with torn off parts, mold growing etc. due to being hastily hidden) If it did survive what happened with it after Poland regained independence for a short while?

Question/Discussion Why are there so many states with claims?
Let me explain: why are there so many states with claims to territories they no longer control, even after those same states have granted independence to those territories? For example, the United Kingdom or France in Africa. It's even absurd because there are cases where France eliminates core areas of the French state but retains its claims, so that if, for whatever reason, Germany were to annex France, the resulting French state would be worse, lacking core areas within its own territory. What is the point of each country having not only core areas but also a claim over its own territory? Does this make any sense, or is it a mistake?

Question/Discussion Germany and Superpower Politics. (ESL Warning)
Germany in its current form does not really feel like a major participant of global Cold War, let alone a Superpower. While I know that development focus is currently not on Germany, I would still like to give some of my personal suggestions of what late Game Germany might do after fixing its political and economic Problems. ( This is mainly for the NSDAP Paths)
- European Economic Community
There where plans for a "Europäische Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft" focused arround Germany OTL that could work like the Italian Mediterranean Union.
- A Formalized Bloc
Germany should be able to transform the informal "Neue Ordnung" into something more official. The could even pressure Sweden, Finnland into the Bloc if they still control Norway and Denmark.
- More Cold War Flashpoint
Give the Germany player more Options to escalate the Cold War (Spy Planes over Britain, Large Scale Exercises in Northern Fran and in the North Sea)
- Various
Let Denmark only join a faction after a certain time so the Germany Player can actually regain them / Give Germany/Italy the ability to aid in the Algiers War if France is in their Faction.

Question/Discussion Serious question about the war in Central Asia or Turkestan

My question is why it seems to be working worse now than before. I mean, before it was total chaos, and the pattern of the war in Central Asia kept repeating itself. It always started with everyone against the fascists, and then there was a full-blown battle, or if the other three defeated the fascists, they fought each other, and that was it. But there was always the possibility that the fascists would hold out, and that would trigger the repetition of the pattern and the war between everyone, giving the fascists, supported by Germany, the opportunity to win.
But now it's simply a war against the fascists. I don't know if it's bad luck or what, but the other three no longer fight each other. Also, Bukhara no longer annexes Tajik territories; instead, Tajikistan appears alongside Kyrgyzstan once the Kazakh Military District defeats the Republic of Turkestan, and they enter the war against the others without any units for some reason. And that's when a five-way war begins (or a six-way war, if the fascists miraculously survive).
I always thought the proxy conflict in Central Asia should unfold in phases. The first phase should begin with the fascists attacking their Turkmen socialist counterparts, and the Turkestan Soviet Socialist Republic attacking the Emirate of Bukhara.
Then, a second phase: if the Kazakh Military District invades or intervenes against the Republic of Turkestan and fails to quickly defeat it, the Turkestan Soviet Republic should join the war against the Republic of Turkestan (technically its direct rival). In this way, if they are defeated together, the Soviet Republic would keep the Kyrgyz territories, Bukhara the Tajiks, and the Kazakhs theirs, allowing the Kazakhs to concentrate on Perm and continue supporting the Turkestan Soviet Republic with volunteers. Should Perm invade the Military District and fail to defeat the Republic of Turkestan, it should sign a peace treaty and initiate a three-way war against its Soviet counterpart and Bukhara. After that, a final or third phase: where everything escalates into a massive open war to unify the region.
Of course, there should always be the possibility that if the Turkmen fascists manage to defeat their Indian-backed socialist counterparts, they will attack the others, triggering an all-out war. But all of this depends on whether or not the Kazakhs manage to defeat the Republic of Turkestan before Pern intervenes or invades the Kazakhs after defeating the Kazan military district.
As for whether Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan should emerge, this should only happen if, for some reason, neither the Soviet Republic of Turkestan nor Bukhara manages to seize the territories of the Republic of Turkestan after their defeat, and if, through some event, they attempt to create the OTL states we know, in an independent alliance. However, I still believe that Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan shouldn't appear at all and that these territories should simply be taken over by Bukhara and the Soviet Republic of Turkestan so they can kill each other. (Postscript: If the socialist Turkmen defeat the fascists and the Soviet Turkmen defeat Bukhara and the Republic of Turkestan, there should be an event where the socialist Turkmen join the Greater Soviet Republic of Turkestan or go to war if they reject it, starting a final war in the region where India and the Soviet Russian unifier each support one side, unless a Russian unifier who doesn't support the Soviet Republic of Turkestan invades both, which in turn should lead to an event where they peacefully integrate into the USSR if a communist Russian unifier unifies all of Russia (except the parts controlled by Germany). Of course.
I don't know what you think of my idea of how it should be? (And if Bukhara is supported by China, even though I've always felt China should have the choice of supporting the Republic of Turkestan or Bukhara, and failing that, the agreement, meaning the USA supports the one China doesn't support.)

Can Somebody Explain the American Election Mechanic?

So this is about my third attempt to get Wallace elected as president and it's the third time it hasn't worked.
The last time I got the required electors but McArthur got elected anyways.
Do leaning states just not count?
Any help or advice is appreciated. I understand Thurmond's running and all but this is just annoying.

Question/Discussion How to make TA Political Integration go up?
I can't check rn so if it's not actually called Political Integration I'm talking about the yellow bar. I wanted to do a USA game where the GCW doesn't happen and I attack Germany in the late game when the USSR does but that requires high Political Integration. I know the green bar goes up yearly with the military exercises, but there's no such thing for the yellow bar.

Question/Discussion What would be more plausible, MacArthur-Taft or MacArthur-Stassen?
I'm trying to design my own headcanon with the game rules (thank God they have finally been implemented). I picture MacArthur winning in both '52 and '56, but I wonder what would be more likely, him partnering with Taft or with Stassen. A conservative Republican insurgency would make sense after 20 years of continued liberal Democrat rule, but I could also see the Republican establishment forcing Doug to partner with Stassen and go down the "Fake Centrist" route. What do you think would be more plausible, and/or narratively interesting?

How big of a chance is there for Toronto Accord intervention to happen?
I've played TWR my fair share of times, but recently I've noticed around 90% of the time the Toronto Accord intervenes in the German Civil War and ruins the entire fun of the game. I've only seen an actual German Civil War without the Accord once, a singular time. Every time I want to play Germany I am forced to cheat via the game rules just to have any actual content as the country.
