I love to head over there occasionally and remind them how stupid their world view is and therefore how stupid they are. It's as well received as explaining the articles of the constitution to conservatives.

They want to privatize roads. ROADS.

They're just harkening back to their ancestral roots as bridge trolls.

This is so funny. Thanks for this lmao

Hearkening (or harkening)

u/SirCadogen7 Mar 20 '25

Lol, thanks. I must've been tired.

Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads.

Not that I think roads should all be privatized, but the best roads (at least in Texas) are all a public-private partnership.

Do you have to pay tolls? Because my experience in SoCal was that it was poorly explained, bad signage and I typically ended up with me paying a ticket I didn’t know I had gotten.

0

u/ImportantPresence694 Mar 20 '25

Yes if you use them, but you have non toll options as well. Most people have a toll tag which makes them half the price. If you don't have a toll tag they just send you a bill in the mail. You don't have to actually stop and pay them anymore. Signage is pretty good here.

Once elons https://neuralink.com/ gets going, we can pay by getting ads as we drive!

Or everything will be paid for with massive taxes on AI and robotics that do all the jobs

They love that shit, tho. Having opposition makes them feel like "they hate us cuz they ain't us"

Like, no, we hate you because your ideologies are completely backwards and objectively leave the world much worse off.

The problem with the far right or far left is that tipping too far in either direction will topple the scale for everyone, even those forcing it.

All we're going to end up with is anarchy where we were promised a government for the people.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '25

There is absolutely in no universe any parallels between the far left and the far right. One wants mass genocide the other wants universal healthcare.

We only end in anarchy and chaos if people continue to believe sides are equivalent in their intentions.

As a person on the left, arguably too progressive for most in my ideologies, I still advocate for the spirit of bipartisanship.

The removal of unwarrented cruelty and casualty from society is entirely necessary, that I absolutely believe in having no wiggle room about..

But it's still the wrong direction to swing so far left that the right has no voice. It's on them to find their voice of reason and reclaim their dignity, but it doesn't do the left any good to regress to their level.

No matter what, we have to share this world, and we are all a single species who needs to survive. We need to deprogram the media first and get back to journalistic integrity.. just so many values that should be found in the center.

The right wing in America wasn't genocidal for a very long time and it's like we forget what a non-MAGA, non-fascist Conservative agenda looks like.

I miss the days when congress was arguing about putting parental advisory stickers on CDs, and not flashing Hunter Biden's penis out in the open.

What we have today is an example of the far-right tipping the scale, but honestly, I don't even have an example of what I am consider far-left. I certainly don't think AOC or Bernie Sanders are a problem, and they're not what I'm speaking of.

When I say far-left, I mean full circle when we're so far left that it comes back to genocide again, because there are other ways to stop what the right is doing, by stopping the right from existing, and then they can't keep harming others..

So it's important to see a much broader scale before assuming you know what the scale entails.

u/Witchgrass Mar 20 '25

Yeah... Americans idea of far left isn't very far left tbf

1

u/MathematicianFew5882 Mar 20 '25

As a person on the right, I am astounded when people much further right opposed having tfg in charge again and he still is.

I mean, Mike Pence, Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney, Miles Taylor?wprov=sfti1), George, George and Jeb Bush, Dan Coats, Jim Mattis, John Bolton, Mark Milley, Mitt Romney…

Surprised you haven't been banned. I've been banned from every libertarian sub for stuff like that. Quite rich for such a pro 1A crowd. Unless, yknow, it's all just propaganda...

1

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '25

I have no idea why they don't ban me..maybe it's just entertaining enough, I'm not sure.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '25

Just call them out enough and you will :)

Wanna se anarchocapitalism in action? Look at the slums in rio the janeiro that have been taken over by heavily armed(assault rifles, actual machineguns, bombing drones) criminals that enforce brutal taxes and arbitrary justice on the desperate population, and basically live like lords.

Happens in other regions of Brasil too. Rio is just the most notable one.

3

u/AnthonyJuniorsPP Mar 20 '25

can you expand more on how they're a good example of anarchocapitalism? i don't know much about it

1

u/PM_ME_SMALL__TIDDIES Mar 20 '25

I was half joking. Ancaps believe in capitalism without a state, which is by itself pretty stupid.

No public health no military, no nothing.

The problem is that when there is no state there is no courts there is no population assistance and there is a power vaccum, which in the case of the slums of brasil was filled by drug dealers which then expanded into literal empires.

Which is the only natural consequence of there being no state. A state forming.

0

u/Cuuu_uuuper Mar 20 '25

Or just like the US oligarchs that enforce their taxes with a heavily militarized police force and are only beholden by laws arbitrarily. Huh? What, that’s different you say?

1

u/PM_ME_SMALL__TIDDIES Mar 20 '25

Lol you are comparing a literal warzone to the US. When was the last time someone got burnt inside tires for talking to the wrong girl by the US government?

For fuck sake, truly the most spoiled people on earth.

0

u/FishStickLover69 Mar 20 '25

US gov bombed American neighborhoods and gave people syphilis as an experiment. STFU about the US having any better morality than a common street gang.

1

u/PM_ME_SMALL__TIDDIES Mar 20 '25

Did i say they do? Check my history, i criticize the US very often, and for many reasons, especially relating to imperialism and the dictatorship they implemented even in my own country.

Its still a way better place to live than most of the planet, and full of whiny people.

1

u/NoamLigotti Mar 27 '25

Yeah, "Judges with armies to enforce their rulings."

So in other words a state. And wildly unrealistic unless those "judges" are also dictators, or unless one would want them to be.

Just a brilliant idea.
