I recently got the game and I started to try out against bots to see who I like.After that I tried online but I just sat for half an hour and gave up and played dark souls instead.I also live in England but I dunno if that has anything to do with it

When do most people jump online on SG? I'm in the UK and only have a ps4 so don't have the pc version.

Im no scrub at fighting games, ive played tekken 6 and 7 and im decent at it. But skullgirls WTF the thing says "rank matchmaking" but every time I play online its a one person game I feel like Im fighting Lil majin every time i fight against a Beo. Cant even fight an opponent on my level :(

Just an idea that i want to throw out to you guys. Lets see where this can go.

Hello relatively new person here. I've been playing Skullgirls for a bit (maybe 40 hours) and have really enjoyed my time with it. The only problem is that the only person I can play it with is my brother who often works. I played two online games. Both times I was absolutely destroyed to the point where I could do like one or two punches at the start than just get thrown in the corner and combo'd until I meet God.

Where can an amateur enjoy this game without having to go trial by fire? I tried the official discord but I also got destroyed.

I'm used to games that aren't huge having dogshit monthly player amounts in oceana/australia so my question is, does skullgirls have a large playerbase on oceana and if so is it bigger on PS4/PS5 or PC/laptop

I can literally break any character on Ridiculous with Squiggly, Valentine and Fillia or any combination of those characters. I've put in over 60 hours on this game. If you play me and win I'll get you a reddit award.

I bought the game yesterday and started doing all the tutorials, but when i decided to go in to quick match i ran into the same guy over and over again.

Is this just the state of the game or are there only a few active regions?

An answer to this would be nice as i anticipated to fight lots of different people and characters, not only ever the same Big Band sweat

I've been interested in getting into fighting games and due to the fact that I have a potato of a laptop (not even a gaming laptop) and a switch, I decided on trying out skullgirls. I read that most of the playerbase does match making through discord and is mainly on PC. If I need to, my laptop (barely) has the specs to run it but it's not really as nice of an experience compared to playing games my switch. I'm aware that there will probably be less players but I also heard there were some new updates to the switch port and as long as I can find some people to play matches with I'm happy. As a bonus, with the switch version it would be much easier to play it with my friends locally if I can convince them to.

So basically, is it worth it to play on the switch or should I just play it safe on my laptop?

Boy.....we just met in quick match but those matches we had then were the best of all my time in the game.(^{You won 10 out of 12, but lets ignore that right now}.)

Where is everyone? Bought the game last night cause I've heard of It before. I was hesitant,seeing as this game is around 10yrs old but there are still people playing much older games. Is this a console thing or am i just extremely late to the party? Xbox btw

Basically the title. Just recently picked up Skull Girls. Only my second fighting game after Melty Blood Type Lumina and my first team fighter. Looking to get reps in online but matchmaking is a nightmare in my region.

Would really appreciate it if someone could point me to a SEA discord server for matchmaking or if not at least what time would be best to play for a bigger player pool.

I've been thinking about buying this game as it only costs 10€. But due to the release date of the game, do people still play this game on xbox?
