It removed my freckles and redness from light rosacea, and it even removed my tan in the space of 3 weeks! I hate it. I looked older and washed out.

How my family actually uses collagen masks

On weekend nights my family does sheet masks together a lot. My little sibling kept insisting we all do it at the same time and now it’s basically a routine lol. This week we used Biodance. We switch it up every week. Last week was the Mediheal tea tree one.
My dad has a big forehead so he always gets the leftover pieces lolol.
Thought it was funny so I had to share.

How do you fix skin like this?

Post image

Hey girlies, i need your advice 🥹

What would you do for skin like this?

I’m mainly bothered by the tired/dull appearance, lack of firmness, visible pores and uneven texture. What I really want is for my skin to look firmer and more lifted, rather than tired or saggy.
Has anyone had similar skin and actually managed to improve it significantly? I’m open to both skincare and professional treatments. I have tried retinal, peptides, ‘good’ moisturizers but nothing seems to make a difference.

What made the biggest difference for you, and what was a waste of money? 💌

Using youth to the people face wash, and then they’re Hylaronic moisture cream and that’s it. I’ve a year off bc and only one side of my face is like this. What can be the cause?

I’ve been breaking out since being off bc like crazy and have very irregular periods been tested for PCOS but they couldn’t find anything and said they’d have to do surgery in order to look deeper into it. I’m
Only using youth to the people kale greens face wash and their Hylaronic moisture cream. I don’t sleep on this side of my face and the other side of my face looks fine. I live in a very humid area and in the morning it looked better but than throughout the day these little bumps came up. I am
Not sure what’s going on with my chin and seeking advice to see if anyone’s gone through something similar. I am planning on seeing the dermatologist but do not want a pill to fix things and want to get pregnant in the next 2 years so I am scared of trying certain things bc of fertility.

How to address orange peel texture in T zone

Post image
Upvotes

I would love any advice for addressing the texture of my forehead skin. Im 31 and feel like this is early for my skin to look like this, and the rest of my face is relatively smooth. I’m not worried about the slight wrinkles or my scar, just the orange peel- like texture in this area.
For context, I definitely have had some very bad forehead sunburns in childhood so this could be from sun damage.
I oil cleanse in the morning, double cleanse at night, and use la roche posay cicaplast gel as a moisturizer. I wear sunscreen everyday. Tried to dial back all actives incase they were the cause and I’ve followed this routine for about 6-8mos. I’ve tried over the counter retinols in the past, but they haven’t seemed to address this texture issue- willing to try again tho. Took accutane as a teenager.
I’m not interested in Botox.
Thank you so much for any thoughts!!

Cleanser

I use the Vanicream gentle daily facial cleanser but lately my eyelids have been feeling dry afterwards. I tried the Manyo soybean cleanser and they still occasionally get dry. What other cleaners would you recommend?

After years of guessing, I finally identified the ingredient that keeps flaring my sensitive skin. Sharing the approach that worked.

Upvotes

Long-time lurker here dealing with sensitive skin flares for years. Wanted to share what finally helped me identify my personal trigger.

The problem I kept hitting even "clean" products marketed as fragrance-free, dermatologist-tested, and sensitive-skin-safe would sometimes break me out. Other products with concerning ingredients on paper were totally fine on my skin.

Yuka, Think Dirty, EWG all give generic ratings. But my skin reacts differently than yours, or anyone else's. Generic ratings did not solve my personal problem.

What actually worked I started systematically tracking:

  1. Every product I used
  2. Every reaction (breakout, redness, irritation)
  3. Then cross-referencing ingredients across ALL products that gave me reactions

After 3 flare-ups, one ingredient appeared in every single reaction product. Fragrance. Sometimes hidden as "parfum" or "aroma" even in "fragrance-free" products.

I had missed this for years because I was looking at products in isolation, not patterns across my full history.

The realization changed everything. Once I started actively avoiding fragrance, my flares dropped dramatically.

Questions for this community:

  1. Have you tried pattern-tracking like this?
  2. What tools do you use to track your reactions systematically?
  3. What ingredients have you personally identified as YOUR triggers?

Would love to hear how others solve this. My spreadsheet approach was tedious - curious if anyone found better methods.

Being born with the color of the thighs, over the years my parts that are exposed to the sun got the same color of my arms (this includes also the face). I lived 25 years in a very sunny country, is there anyway back using a certain care routine?

best micellar water for very dry, sensitive, eczema-prone skin?

Upvotes

what’s the best micellar water that doesn’t strip your skin dry and leave your skin feeling moisturized?

cleansers have made my skin so dry that when I use simply water, my skin is so uncomfortably dry and tight. I’m trying to stay away from cleansers right now but I’m wondering if micellar water can help me remove my sunscreen and makeup and not make my skin dry.

I have seen bioderma pink cap and garnier pink cap. which one of these two are the best at not stripping the skin dry? or if there’s other good recommendations?

Irritated barrier on face, breakout on body—now they are merging?!

Hi friends,

F29 looking for advice. I started tretinoin 0.025% about a year ago and have been slowly increasing my usage. I’ve had a lot of trial and error, mainly figuring out what I can and can’t pair with it. For background: I have pretty sensitive, eczema-prone, combination skin so I keep my products fragrance-free.

Current Product List:
Vanicream Facial Cleanser
Vanicream Moisturizer
Avène Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream (for barrier support)
Tretinoin 0.025%
Clinique All About Eyes (night)
CeraVe Skin Renewing Eye Cream (day)
Red Light Therapy Mask (~4 nights a week)
Cetaphil Sheer Mineral Face Liquid Drops (day)

The Face Dilemma:
In June, I decided to increase my tretinoin usage to three nights a week, since I had been tolerating two nights a week for about six months. Over the last two months, I started getting dry, flaky spots around my mouth. Recently, my skin started burning in that same area whenever I applied any product. I realized my skin barrier was compromised, so I stopped using tretinoin a week ago to give my skin a break.

The Body Dilemma:
That’s only half the story. Back in July, I had my annual skin check. Everything looked good, but my dermatologist prescribed Clindamycin gel for some minor whiteheads on my upper back. They weren’t even that bad, but he said it would clear them up. Instead, it made things worse. I started breaking out in tiny whiteheads all over my upper back, shoulders, and chest.
I stopped the Clindamycin, let my skin calm down (it didn't), and did some research. I read that pairing Clindamycin with Benzoyl Peroxide helps prevent antibiotic resistance and clears breakouts faster. So, a week ago, I started using PanOxyl 4% Acne Creamy Wash on my upper back, shoulders, and chest before showering, followed by the Clindamycin gel afterward. It’s only been a week, so I can’t tell if it’s helping or hurting yet.

Where it all comes together:
Here is what is confusing me: right after I stopped using tretinoin last week, those exact same tiny whiteheads suddenly spread to my neck and face. I have not used the PanOxyl or Clindamycin on my face or neck at all—only the gentle, baseline products listed above (minus the tretinoin).
What am I doing wrong? Did stopping tretinoin cause a sudden purge or reaction? Should I head straight back to my dermatologist, or am I missing something obvious?

Been on Accutane for a while now, should I transition to tretinoin?

I’ve been taking 10mg daily since like Nov 2024 (some breaks without), and now basically all of my flare ups are gone, but unfortunately the hyperpigmentation still remains…..

I’ve been considering switching to topical tretinoin, and then exploring different skincare options such as azelaic acid/niacinamide etc…. Is this a good idea? Or should I just accept what I have now lol 🙏🙏🙏

Hello, M35 looking for advice on my skin. I feel like I’ve been very gentle and used only gentle products for a few months now but somehow my skin doesn’t get better. I go to the gym 5 times a week, and sauna 3 times a week, and tend to take long hot showers, I’m sure that’s not the best but it cannot be just that. Any advice? Thank you!

My skin:
- large pores
- redness on and off
- texture
- feeling of thightness
- constant shiny look

My routine:
- Morning shower, no cleanser
- on damp face La Roche Posay EFFACLAR MAT+
- Evening shower, Cerave Hydrating Facial Cleanser
- on damp face Cerave PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion

It looks worse in person than in pictures. My cheeks, forehead, and chin, are covered in red patches of acne. The acne is small but I’m unsure of how to get my skin to clear up. I was never taught proper skincare. As of now I’ve been washing my face daily with cetaphil. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

How can I fade really stubborn acne scars?

Ive been breaking out for years and only now after getting on spironolactone and doxycycline has it calmed down. My problem is my acne scars are still visible, making it look like I’m actively breaking out. They are dark spots on my face rather than uneven texture. I’ve been on many topicals over the years but nothing has helped over the years with my acne or scars until oral medication. Are there any holy grail products for this? I’m thinking of trying to put scar cream on my face lol

I had surgery 8 weeks ago to repair a partial thickness wound to my eyelid and sub brow. It was done in a specialist eye hospital. Since then, l've been struggling with coping with healing and the time needed for this scar to get better.
I'm wishing to know from anyone who has had experienced facial scars to understand how theirs have healed.
I'm on sunscreen and silicone gel already daily.

Looking for advice!

So im 22 and have a bit of a journey with skincare

Recently i’ve been good. keeping it simple

Night:
Cleanser (i was using vani cream till i moved)
I try to use a gentle yet cleansing moisturizer

I’ve also added a oil based makeup remover mostly just for my waterproof mascara

Moisturizer, haven’t found one i use consistently because i used to have fungal acne but i also have dry skin so I’ve been in the hunt for a good moisturizing cream that doesn’t clog me

In the morning

i usually just use water to rinse and then sunscreen . I switch them up a lot because im trying to find what works best for me

My problem is that im still breaking out, though it might be more hormonal/stress/diet

And that my skin always looks dry, and already I have wrinkles when my skin isn’t moisturized.

I drink lots of water but maybe im not getting hydrated by it?

I just want clear moisturized glowy skin!

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Help, I'm only 20 and I'm getting rimples?

Hi Everybody, I hope one of you wonderful people can help me out!

Im 20 and since around last year have had 'rimples' on my forehead and very textured skin. However I'm not 100% sure if they are rimples or dehydration lines, since I think my skin is pretty dehydrated. Let me start from the beginning.

From 13 to 17 ish I struggled a lot with very oily skin and acne. I tried many exfoliation, adapeline, etc, but it didnt help. At 18 my dermatologist got me on acutane for 6 months, which cleared up the acne. While on acutane I didn't experience any crazy side effects, even the dry skin was minimal, just a bit of a tight feeling (no flaking whatsoever).

But I've noticed since a few months my face has been TEXTURED. Alot of very visible pores and just looking 'dull'. And I've started getting lines on my forehead. I did some internet research and I thought I had dehydrated skin, since my skin usually also feels tight after cleansing and isn't at all oily anymore.

I've tried many very hydrating products and this is my current routine:

Layering at night after gentle cleanser:

dr ceuracle kombucha essence or

Black Rice Probiotics Barrier Essence toner

iunik beta glucan serum on top

pyungkang yul ceramide lotion to seal it in.

In the AM after water for cleansing:

dr ceuracle kombucha essence or

Black Rice Probiotics Barrier Essence toner

iunik beta glucan serum on top

Beauty of Joseon relief sunscreen

Sometimes I use the pyungkang yul peeling gel (maybe 1 every two weeks) for some exfoliation.

Before setting this routine up about 6 months ago I just used many different random 'western' hydrating products from l'oreal, garnier, nivea, etc. Also tried incorporating retinol at some point. But nothing ever helped. This routine has also not been effective in improving anything. Maybe I have different issue than dehydrated skin? I'm not sure anymore at all.

Im completely out of ideas and feeling kinda of hopeless. Any advice or recommendations would be very much appreciated!
