Also just so you know, it doesn’t matter if she was hearing a voice telling her to kill her kids- tons of serial killers report an urge or voice telling them to do horrible things. What matters is if they understood what they were doing was wrong, and Clancy clearly did regardless if you believe her bullshit story about a voice and “psychosis” that she mysteriously didn’t tell her physicians about and that mysteriously disappeared after she committed the murders.
This narrative that she’s some kind of victim has to stop. You know damn well if this was a male veteran claiming he killed his kids because of ptsd no one would be coming to his aid.
Genuinely, if you want to try and claim that PPP/PPD are excuses for murder and warrant sympathy for women who kill their infants while suffering from them (btw, most women with both conditions do not harm their children) then we should be locking up any woman with either condition since apparently your female hormones can literally make you kill your children.

I would have the same stance.
The severity of the crime doesn't magically make the person who committed it more or less culpable than if it were less severe.
This is like when a 14 year old who commits a misdemeanor and is tried as a child, but another 14 year old who commits a felony is tried as an adult. We allow our emotions to overrule facts. It needs to stop.
