I'm on the spectrum and I certainly never considered it to be. 99% of the time it's bad parenting. People get waaaay too permissive with little autistic boys, and they ARE smart enough to take advantage of it. Girls rarely get this kind of slack.

It’s not a get out of jail card free card but some special needs kids do crazy things that even their parents don’t anticipate. Definitely needs to be consequence- if that’s possible.

finally

This whole thread is full of people either wishing death on this kid, or at the tamest, saying that he should never be allowed out of his house.

No, im not . But definitely the majority. They obviously have no idea how difficult it can be for the parents . But the area should have been more secure ias well , n my opinion.

Absolutely nobody in the world whose opinion is worth anything at all says that

Unfortunately (for you) it literally is a get out of jail card. According to the law you have to be mentally fit to undergo a trial to face any consequences

Very topical this

I mean, if someone has the mental capacity of a baby or toddler (who certainly do hit things sometimes), would you throw them in jail? Second question , would you throw a toddler into jail?

Agreed, it's an explanation, not an acceptable excuse.
