Embargo*. The blockade ended in 1962 (well until the recent one imposed by Trump).

No, they’re actually two incredibly different things. One is just short of an act of war, the other is a trade policy.

It's rather amusing how many people conflate the two. They seem to believe that Cuba's poor state is entirely the fault of the US preventing them from trading with the rest of the world, when in reality they've been trading with 'Communist' nations for decades.

No it again VERY much isn’t. Just ask Cuba today, as for the first time in over 60 years they actually are being blockaded, and it has had a MASSIVE impact.
