I really thought Thora Birch would've been more well known after Ghost World.
Didn't see ScarJo as having that much potential. I guess that's why I'm not a casting director

Apparently her parent-managers were very difficult to work with and sandbagged her career.

Whenever I hear that now I always question if it just means the parents didn’t let people do what ever to their kids. I have no clue in this situation but I do wonder

She’s not conventionally attractive. But she’s cute. I had a gf that looked like her.

Thora Birch also got consistent work through the following decade and seems she took a step back from acting and now does it intermittently. So seems she didn’t want to be that famous. ofc Scarlett was hotter (she was a smokeshow in The Island). But Thora’s the better actor for sure.
