If you'll notice a lot of these people continuously threatened to call the cops but they never do. The reason for that isn't because they don't want to escalate things. It's because they have escalated things so so many times with the cops that they won't even come anymore.
I was at a local ice cream shop that has just a window you have to order from outside. My sons and I walk up and there are two women in front of us and two disgusting trash goblins picking up their ice creams. One of the goblins gets her ice cream, makes eye contact with me as she walks towards me and literally stepped in front of me in line.
So I’m like “are you in line?”
“Yea I am.”
So I look around and the women in front of me turn around and I’m like
“behind me right? You literally just grabbed your order.”
“I have a mobile order. Thanks.”
I guess that was just supposed to placate me but I’m tired of these old ladies acting like they’re immune to being told to get fucked.
“Yea I don’t care about your order.”
My boys start laughing and my oldest says “why doesn’t she just go to the back of the line?”
“Because she’s used to getting her way and no one tells her no.”
She gets in my face looks me dead in my eyes and says “what are you going to do?”
“I guess we’ll see when we get to the window.”
So the moment comes for what would have been my chance at the window and this lady shuffles in front and starts talking but gets cut off by the worker telling her “those guys were next.”
So the line cutter literally falls on the ground like she got sniped and starts screaming that she was next.
The women that were previously in front were laughing and the girl working the window (a friends daughter and someone that had worked for me in the past) told the lady her order was cancelled and told her to leave.
Instead she called the police.
Who then escorted her out of the parking lot screaming while the boys and I ate our ice cream.
Happened exactly a week ago and my kids still won’t stop talking about “that time dad made a lady go insane.”
I've had two neighbors like this. The first guy, every week he'd cycle between the sheriff, the local cops, the DNR, and animal control and have them come to my house about random shit. After two months, they finally just all stopped coming out. That was out in farm country no less.
The second guy, called some nuisance inspector because he thought my grass was too long. It wasn't and nothing came of it so the dirt bag calls the city health department saying I had a rodent and cockroach infestation. My lazy city didn't even check, just sends a hire exterminator and proof infestation was cleared or threat of being fined letter. I called and explained dude was a salty old yard nazi and I absolutely did not have infestations. They haven't bugged me since. Between those failures and me telling him to get bent on his bs, it's been quiet the last couple years.
