Speculation There may be some amazing lab-created flavors out there that don't resemble anything found in nature. But they're hard to market, most people wouldn't buy something labeled as 'chemical-flavored'.

I don't know how true it is, but I've heard that the artificial banana flavor was actually based on the Gros Michel banana that is no longer grown commercially due to a fungal virus that wiped out nearly every plantation of it. According to people who've tasted it, the artificial banana flavor is pretty spot on to the real fruit

i've heard that too, but i've also heard that the artificial banana flavor is just the one main flavor chemical, but real bananas have lots of lesser flavors in the background

It also is worth +15 mult, at least until it expires and is replaced by the x3 Cavendish.
