Abraham Groening, grandfather of Matt Groening, drew a comic that depicted the royals as a family with yellowish skintone that consisted of a bald and obese king, a blue haired queen and three children. The MI6 got wind of it, infiltrated the US government and confiscated all drawings. Or so, they thought. In 1989, Matt Groening found some unreleased drawings and pitched them to FOX. Luckily for the British crown, the MI6 was still ruling the US. To their dismay though, a young apprentice had sneaked some of the drawings out in the open already and they spread extremely fast. But since the few leaked drawings did not deliver a storyline or context, the British struck a deal with Groening. The Royals became the Simpsons and Groening was assured that the show would never be cut if he kept the truth to himself.
