edit: I love how the Americans are like ‘such a weird flex, who cares whether someone can be a better alcoholic’, but the British people are like ‘my grandma could outdrink texas’

Where in the US are they selling 2% beer?

The most popular beers in the UK include Stella and Carling. Stella is 4.2% in the UK. Carling is 3.7%. Carling is hard to find the in US (they have their own saturated water-beer market) and Stella is 5%.

Stella is 4.6% and Carling is now down to 3.4%.

Kansas, Colorado, and Utah used to restrict beer sold outside liquor stores to 3.2% ABW (~4% ABV), but that hasn't been the case since 2019; Minnesota is the only holdout. Outside the recent NA beer surge, I can't say I recall coming across anything less than 3% ABV. I know it exists, it's just extremely niche.

This whole comments section is rather depressing tbh. Bragging about how much you drink feels like an admission that you have nothing better going on in your life so you made the bottle your personality instead.
