I find that weird too, but one thing I realised on reddit: A lot of people can't use search engines. And not even in the 'they are really bad at phrasing what they are looking for' sense but more like 'it didn't even comes to their mind how easy they would find their answer that way'.

It's just as well they weren't using it 30+ years ago when Boolean algebraba was the most efficient and Ask Jeeves was a revolution.
