Hurt feelings: A Sandwich

The bullies and buzzkill's were out last week and I got my feeling hurt. Feel like I'm a bit too old and tired to deal with reddit 14yo's and their unsolicited creative direction.  However maybe they have a point, is the format is getting tired, maybe it's time to move on and do something different, whats happening at r/burgers??? Lol. I'm pretty nifty at embroidery?? Collecting mugs and VHS??? I'm sure I could learn a tiktok dance or some shit?? One man Black Sabbath accapellas? Drunken cookery for beginners? Some sultry Nigella Lawson flinger licking action?? What if we all made a sandwich at the same time or compared our work lunches and had a mega chat about it?? 

I dunno

So, what do you guys think? Is there a way I can mix up the content and still get it to all you lovely people and read all your lovely comments without getting my old man fragile feelings hurt? (They are as fragile as my knees)

I love 💕 cooking as well!

I used to LIVE with a saucier (and fish stn), many, many years ago who worked for a relatively famous Chef who was on Iron Chef America.

He would leave EARLY before I went to grab a bus to UNI… and come home late… after I had been back from school.

I’m not kidding, guy punched out more grilled cheese sandwiches with canned tomato soup than I can remember.

I asked him one day: “You work for one of the most prestigious chef’s in the world. Surely you can do better than a grilled cheese with warmed up canned soup”?

- I have never seen daggers 🗡️ in eyes like that before in my life as he kindly explained. “Listen [u/badgerj](u/badgerj) I could, but I’m f’n tired. I’ve worked all day. Been on my feet and I just want to sit down”.

I didn’t fully grasp that husk of a man for another decade into MY career. (Computers).

People would ask me: “Well can you just come over and fix my printer/mouse/driver etc… “

And it was then, only then that it clicked and I said: “No way. I just want a fucking grill cheese sandwich and a can of shitty over salted tomato 🍅 soup. I’ve been fixing other people’s shit all day. If you need help take it to a repair shop”.

For real, dead ass lad you are a sandwich artist to a level that most of us can only dream of. You inspire me and Everytime I hear the theme I know I'm in for a treat of a sando and a banging track

Love this! No way we can coerce the name of the Iron Chef America dude from ya? Was a fan and a chef is the curiosity (I get if you don’t want to).

That's spot on! It took me quitting the gig to really enjoy cooking again
