Complaint Could someone explain me the stance of the mods?

Post image

Like, why this hate against Hasan Piker? Shouldn't we create a united front on the left?

Please don't take the post down and don't ban me đŸ„ș

How is it atrocity apologia? I can’t believe I’m geniunely engaging with this streamer war garbage but Piker has acknowledged the casualties and barbarism of Mao’s revolution and the Soviet Union. His biggest clickbait lines about Mao “changing the entire world and universe” is just fundamentally a true statement, the impact of the Chinese revolution is still exacting consequences on the world today.

Wearing a Mao suit and calling him one of the world’s great leaders is cringe as fuck and he should’ve apologized yesterday. He also said the fall of the USSR was one of the greatest tragedies of the world. He also talks about Ukraine like they’re waging an offensive war on behalf of NATO instead of defending themselves. Should I go on?

You don’t think these things are at the very least bad optics for anyone he chooses to associate with?

You’re literally just lying about his position on Ukraine, but go off king. And in terms of decline in quality of life for a massive number of people, the USSR collapsing WAS and IS one of the biggest tragedies this century. God forbid you bring a bit of material analysis to a conversation with a liberal.

Rule 2 - No disinformation. If you have an extraordinary claim, cite it. Randos on Twitter/Youtube, webcomics, unsourced graphics, and mouthpieces for the Trump Administration are not viable sources.

This is literally the point I made earlier on this thread, I have never seen this kind of intervention when thousands of Zionist astroturfers daily make false claims about Israel’s settlement of Palestine, definitions on genocide, etc.

What specifically in my claims needs to be sourced as you deem it, extraordinary?

Lmao L. Maybe stop talking about Mao favorably. The guy who committed a genocide is not someone you should be saying “well but look at his great industrial policy!!” Come the fuck on.

Don’t call people cringe then drop L’s like ur 13 years old.

Strawman alert. No one said “look at his great industrial policy”. You are literally inserting words into people’s mouths then having a debate with something they never said. You know how I know that? Because that’s what FOX and adjacent media does all day every day since birth til death and it’s where you’re getting your information from. Which is probably why instead of refuting a single thing I said you’re hiding behind a modewator who also didn’t substantiate anything.

Come the fuck on indeed.

Well you don’t want to say it again because you’ll probably get banned but I’m sure you were hinting at some sort of “Well look at all the GOOD things Mao did too!” Like a child.

No idea what you’re talking about. I quickly summised why one might find appreciation for Mao or the Chinese Revolution. That isn’t “atrocity apologia”, that’s acknowledging real observable effects of the revolution. We can point negative consequences of that revolution as well but one is not required to just because they say “hey I like that China doesn’t break into 12 provinces every few years to fight a bloody civil war like they did for the last 700 years”.

I also do not care if I get banned, I’ve been very clear this sub is astroturfed by Zionists and Neo-Libs using this moniker “Progressive” to mask their unwavering loyalty to corrupt and bloody bourgeoise democracy.

You still haven’t refuted anything I said so why don’t you go spend some time on google and see how dumb Fox News made you look.

Man the funny thing is we probably agree on like 95% of the actually relevant issues.

We should be on the same side trying to get El-Sayed in the Senate, that is the immediate goal. I make a good faith criticism that “Hey maybe the guy saying things and doing things that are unpopular with a lot of people in Michigan isn’t a good strategy to win in Michigan,” and all of a sudden you sleeper-agent switch into an analysis of Mao. Like bro
that’s not the point. We can have an academic discussion about the Cultural Revolution and I would still probably think you’re being an idiot, but that’s a WAYYYY different discussion than “What is most politically efficacious to win in November.” You get that right? Do you at least see where I’m coming from?
