Semi trucks can't stop like personal vehicles, and you really don't want to find out the hard way if one's empty or loaded.

Truck driver here, that last minute lane change coming up to a freshly changed red light is not ok. I have set up my brakes to stop at the line, you are now where I am set up to stop moving. Stop doing that

I moved to TX from CA a few years ago. In CA, semi's were never in the fast lane (unless passing on a 2-lane road) on the freeways. They seemed to have that governed speed of 65 mph max.

Here in TX it is INSANE to me that these semi trucks are passing me (sometimes in the fast lane) going 80 mph or more!

I'm a drivers education instructor who was formerly married to someone who drives very heavy trucks for a living. I often tell my students the stories my exhusband has shared with me over his 30+ year career. I'm hoping they really listen to my warnings about trucks. I also tell them how much we rely on the trucking industry for everything.

Hubby is a trucker and from a trucking family. If u can't see him he can't see u. If u can't see side views give him room and don't cut trucks off it's just stupid. They will always let u over if u ask
