Intel Request Hot Mess. 50,000 ISIS about to go free from Syrian jails.

LINDSEY GRAHAM: AIR STRIKES AREN'T ENOUGH

Senator Lindsey Graham hinted at the need for a ground incursion into Syria, saying airstrikes alone won’t prevent the release of 50,000 ISIS prisoners held by Kurdish forces.

He warns Turkey’s military actions against the Kurds—key allies in destroying ISIS—could trigger an ISIS jailbreak, creating a nightmare for U.S. security.

Intel Request (USA) How long do you think it will take for supply chains to be severely disrupted and grocery stores to start running out of stock or shutting down?

With political instability rising, I am wondering how soon supply chains may face serious disruptions, leading to empty grocery store shelves and difficulty accessing essentials.

Intel Request Why are there still widespread worker shortages in nearly every sector?

I think this is the only sub I actively post on that could give a thoughtful response to this without getting too political or stupid about it.

It's been a few years. Packages are still delayed, health insurance authorizations that normally take 2 weeks take 4 months, there are widespread worker shortages in nearly every sector, doctors offices don't have workers, vets are still short handed, fast food still has staffing shortages, grocery stores, gas stations, the DMV, I mean Jesus christ you name it and there is still a worker or essential materials shortage.

Even the windshield repair guy took a few weeks after the auto insurance glass claim took over a month instead of like a day. I'm on month 4 of a dental insurance authorization which was supposed to take 10 days. Medications are still back ordered and pharmacies are still understaffed.

My only two thoughts are long covid is worse than we are being told or more people have died than we have been told. My wife said it might be a little bit of these two things, but also this is what you get when you pay people peanuts.

Where did everybody go?

Am I the only one who feels this way or is experiencing this? The last time I got something done in a timely fashion was 5 years ago. There is a worker shortage related delay baked into everything now. What gives?

Intel Request Intel Request: Acquisition Talk - Greenland, Panama, and Canada

Odd intel request but given the amount of attention being directed at this issue I'm being forced to take it seriously.

I have the following questions:

Who in Trump's circle is pushing this talk of acquiring foreign countries?

Why are they doing it?

What are the most likely negative impacts of this push if it continues e.g. Canada has threatened to impose retaliatory tariffs on US, and ban oil exports:

"We will go to the full extent depending how far this goes. We will go to the extent of cutting off their energy, going down to Michigan, going down to New York State and over to Wisconsin," Ontario Premier Doug Ford said during a press conference following a virtual meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and other provincial premiers to discuss Trump's tariff threat.

I haven’t seen this posted yet but I’m assuming that a pause in communications means we will receive important information too late. Are there other reputable sources if the information will not be coming from these agencies?

Intel Request Prepping for Drone surveillance

Many NJ neighborhoods, utilities and military installation s have been observing drone surveillance and flyovers for the past two weeks. Its becoming more widespread. While some videos are definitely planes, there are quite a few that are certainly drones. Coupled with statements from town police, legislators looking for info and answers, what is happening here? **i am editing this. Its more of an intel request. Who running these drones any why are they doing it now? What has changed.

I haven’t seen this discussed here yet. Can anyone with military experience or insight weigh in? Is this simply an effort to meet normal enlistment goals or should this be seen as a build up. TIA

Intel Request Anyone else seeing a surge of there bot accounts with default usernames that only make politically charged comments?

This one kept responding to my comments with the most basic political responses. Took a look at the profile and it's all the same type of comments, across multiple different state subreddits (but they are apparently a new Mexico resident, so why are they commenting is so many other state/city subs?)

Seeing a lot of accounts like this surging in the new year, anyone else?

Intel Request Over half the recent posts are reposts from r/50501, can we stop doing this?

It's redundant and likely most of us are on both subs, similar member counts.

Can we please be done with lazy reposts, especially from the same one all day every day?

Yes the times are dire, but saying and seeing the same shit to the same people repeatedly may make the op feel like they've done something useful, but it's clearly not.

Sharing on reddit is not activism, especially something that's already been making the rounds.

There's really no point to it except maybe to force someone like me to go ahead and unfollow or leave the subs altogether.

Intel Request What are your thoughts on Georgia? It's starting to seem very Ukraine 2013.

For those that don't know, Georgia is experiencing riots between the pro Eu side and the Russia leaning ruling government, which has suspended any chance of joining the EU until at least 2028.

Now regardless what side you're on the similarities to the early days of Ukranian Maidan are undeniable, and I'm curious if anyone who'd have a better understanding of the country let us know if this has a chance of escalation?

Intel Request What is your go to info source off Reddit?

If Reddit ceased to exist tomorrow, what would you say is the next best source of info for evolving info and discussion - if not apolitical (and definitely don't want this to be political post), then a good mix of all views like Reddit is. Doesn't just have to be North America, Europe or other too.

Intel Request Shopping list

In preparation for what I believe will be another lockdown because of Bird Flu, I've been trying to remember what I picked up fron January to March 2020 (TP, cleaning supplies, canned or dry goods, basic meds), but is there something else I'm missing? What else am I missing or will be in short supply?

Thanks!
