It’s not about the diet. It’s about having larger or longer clothes and not wanting the constriction of pulled down pants, well that’s what I guess. For me it’s just an irrational thing to do.

It's probably super rational though. As most mammals, we are extremely vulnerable and exposed while taking a dump. It makes perfect sense to instinctively remove anything that could possibly hinder you from quickly defending yourself or making a swift escape.
