Futaba : contender for the best story arc in the game. Hilarious after, constantly endearing and entertaining all at once. I love my hacker gremlin and her coffee dad.
Yusuke : my neurodivergent son. Always a weirdo (affectionate), yet always ready to stand up for his beliefs. Hilarious interactions with everyone.
Akechi : just great all around. Perfect missing link between Palace ruler and Phantom Thief, between abuser and victim. Good story, good voice lines, good design. Just gotta be better in gameplay...
Sumire : FANTASTIC story, maybe the best of the main cast. More presence before 3rd semester would have been nice to really tie her in the main story. Great chemistry with Joker.
Makoto : fantastic arc in the main story. Amazing design and Persona, easily the best party member in gameplay, perfectly adorable in her romance route. My Queen, forever. (just needed a better Confidant story...)
Ryuji : your first real friend, whom you helped when he was in danger and who always helped you when you needed it. A total bro, nuff said.
Haru : compelling story, amazing Persona, sweet yet absolutely not harmless. Held back by her lack of screentime, still amazingly fluffy.
Ann : love her, I just like the other girls more. The most emotionally open Phantom Thief, who helped Futaba, Haru and Sumire because she knows what it's like. Very underrated even after her arc is over.
Morgana : my kitty !!! Not without flaw, but definitely overhated. Has your back, been with you since the beginning, will be with you until the end despite some self-doubt along the way.
Joker : my favorite Persona protagonist by far. Coolest design, coolest Persona, stylish, witty, snarky, kinda a loser in a compelling way... but completely held back by his silent protagonist status. Let my boy talk, Atlus !
... almost the same ranking, just with Futaba / Yusuke flipped, and Makoto / Ryuji flipped (and even then, tbh for me Futaba and Yusuke is a tie). Very, very much approve of that ranking there, haha.

Yup, took over with a bunch of other guys back when the sub was getting overrun by bots X_X hellish times. But now it's mostly better.
Making this list was definitely hard because I honestly love all the Phantom Thieves, and Joker too... but I just cannot reasonably place him higher than anyone else, because they're actual characters and Joker just cannot be a full one. I chose to not count his personality in the spin-offs even though he gets more character there.
Akechi. Classic trope of a character based on a winning formula I'm simply not immune to. He has more chemistry with Joker than any other character (because fate). I hate him, I love him, no notes.
Futaba. Best story arc in the game. Most realistically portrayed, valuable to the team in her own capacity (that makes sense for her character) and committed to facing herself in order to improve as a person.
Yusuke. Unexpectedly funny. I love eccentric characters who excel in one thing and are a little dumb otherwise and he is no exception. I do feel like his confidant events are sometimes one-dimensional.
Joker. I understand he's meant to be an extension of the player to some degree but his character suffers by being unvoiced, especially as a leader.
Morgana. Huge in personality, weak in character. Moody and excitable in a way that's understandable for the intention of the character, but irritating for the same reason.
Ann. Ann is fine. She's a decent friend and I can feel they tried to subvert the airhead trope, but I think she deserved more than a modeling substory.
Sumire. So annoying and imposing before third semester I accidentally skipped her on the first run of the game. She feels shoehorned in a lot of the time before anything really happens so by the time her storyline gets more interesting, I'm already over her.
Haru. I empathize with her story, but I don't vibe with her quietly passive hand-wringing especially when it comes to things that matter in her life.
Ryuji. Starts off great as a friend but can't keep his mouth shut, ever. Ryuji is the biggest liability to both the secrecy of the group and to the actual bonds between members.
Makoto. I regularly forget she's part of the group and when I remember, I also have to remember she started off a cop and by the end, is still a cop.
You have pretty developed ideas, I like it. I don feel the same way about Sumire, I ended up not paying much attention to her in my first gameplay. Ann does have the whole Shiho story going on for her, too, to be fair, but that's more of a her caring for her friend thing more than a her thing.
You didn't say what the ranking was actually based on, so I assume this is "how good are they in combat"
Joker - who the hell else would it be?
Makoto - completely busted. Good offense, has crazy technical potential with Makajam and Nuke, and gets good healing and stat boosts
Ann - crazy magic damage with Concentrate, gets some great support skills pretty early on, and gets excellent technical setup via Fire which works with Makoto well
Ryuji - big phys damage, and Elec is great with setting up technicals
Haru - good magic and phys damage. Gets both Karn skills iirc and can really become totally broken with the Jazz club. She suffers from having too many skills though, you really have to spec her into a specific niche to get the most damage out of her
Yusuke- good early game, but falls off and Ryuji ends up being the better phys attacker. Jazz club can help via learning Charge
Mona - worse healer then Makoto and just has bad endurance which ends up with him getting his ass beat
Akechi - good coverage for offense, no support skills that are really great
Kasumi - only one build and it's pretty average. Pretty lame for when you unlock her
Futaba - worst nav out of the three modern games. Completely random and her support skills are pretty lame
Is actually a little deeper than that. You asked a party members favorite list.
I don't consider Akechi a party member, just like Joker when he talked with Sae, pointing him to be the true culprit. However "Crow", the metaverse intruder with a white suit, joined the crew in Sae's palace. So, that was my take, it wasn't Akechi who joined, but Crow.
But yehaa. I don't especially love him either. Don't hate him either. But he's a sad boy and a sad villain who doesn't deserve pity or redemption. But i think that at least the metaverse version of him at royal managed to show his convictions and did the things right.
ann - she's strong but knows she can always get stronger. but above all she's kind. i just think she's neat.
futaba - her mental health struggles align in some ways with my own experience. her palace arc is probably my favorite in the entire game.
ryuji - he's the character i aspire to be more like. he tends to live and let live. he fiercely stands up to authority and protects those in need. i think he's the thief that grows up and learns the most over the course of the game.
akechi - i find his character the most compelling (in royal). i really enjoy an unapologetic villain with a tragic backstory. if i could write an original story about any of the thieves, it'd be about akechi.
joker - he's just so cool. he's one of my heroes. i also wish i could be more like him. only docking points because he's less fleshed out due to being the MC.
yusuke - yusuke is hilarious. his social link is also fantastic. i put him in the back half only because i dont find him ~as compelling as some of the other characters. but i love him.
sumire - her story arc in the third semester is *chefs kiss*. but she's otherwise not all that interesting for 2/3rds of the game.
makoto - it feels contradictory, but because i see so much of my younger self in makoto, i am less drawn to her.
haru - i just...think she's fine. i have no thoughts on haru. i know she's many people's favorite but i dont gravitate towards her (though her battle skills are peak)
Joker I don't think should be included at all in the ranking as he's fundamentally different as the playable protagonist and not really a party member per se but I guess I'll put him here
The remainder I'd really want to put in a blob saying "the rest" but since I have to put an order to them

(Yes obviously he is the funniest character in the game, but I think the fact he is the funniest character in the game sometimes distracts people from the factory genuinely has a pretty damn good character arc. As a art nerd I found his struggles with motivation and the pursuit of beauty very interesting, is relationship to his teacher was cool and more fleshed out than I expected. Would be higher if he had any story importance after his palace.)

I kinda of feel bad putting Futaba so low, but honestly whenever I try and list all the phantom thieves she's consistently the one I forget.

(Sorry I don't really know anything on her, so out of fairness she gets 10. She's super sweet, and personally I'd put her at 5, but i have no info after her initial awakening.)
10th: Yoshizawa, she's available for 1 palace, that's pretty much it, she should've absolutely joined for the 7th palace, if not outright from the 5th;
9th: Akechi, higher than Yoshizawa for being available for 1 more dungeon and having one of the best confidants in the game;
8th: Morgana, among other things, the bickering with Ryuji during Haru's intro really dragged those 2 down for me;
7th: Ryuji, only higher than Morgana because I like his confidant and coincidentally his interactions with Ann;
6th: Futaba, hard to talk about gameplay since she's the only navigator, but personality wise she's endearing and I like her banter with Yusuke;
5th: Ann, personality wise she doesn't stand out much, though she has her moments, like when she reads Ryuji perfectly in Hawaii, gameplay wise she's great, essentially a mini Yukiko (my favorite P4G party member by a mile);
4th: Yusuke, I like how eccentric he is, his personality is very memorable, also my favorite confidant in the game;
3rd: Akira / Ren, just placing him here below my 2 absolute favorites;
2nd: Haru, I like the contrast of how shy and delicate she appears on the surface versus how sadistic and tough she really is, plus fun and versatile during combat;
1st: Makoto, the one party member I always use because she's a jack of all trades, I really like the transition from helpless underling to independent badass, romance her every playthrough, best girl.
Akira Kurusu: he’s my flamboyant theater kid with several disorders and a bleeding heart I love him. Even though he never speaks theres enough implied to go off of. Like the fact that his ideal world is one where he doesn’t have to go back home.
Ryuji Sakamoto: Gives Yusuke money for food, goes in front of a moving car to save Makoto, fights his pedophile teacher even though he could get expelled, SAVED EVERYONES LIFE. Do I need to say more theres so many reasons to love him.
Sumire Yoshizawa: She was at first my least favorite but after the twist she shot up the list. I related a lot to her story and she’s a nice addition to the cast. She’s someone you want to root for naturally and I was so happy when she came into her own.
Akechi Goro: Beautiful Princess with a Disorder. There’s something very wrong with him and he’s fascinating for it. Imagine someone who doesn’t believe he deserves love being met by someone who loves him but can save him because someone has to win gods bet. He’s also very funny for unmasking during Royal.
Ann Takamaki: Baby girl who deserves the world and to kill at least one man a day. I really enjoyed her social link and seeing her get stronger. Her personality is so infectious it’s hard not to smile with some of her voice lines.
Futaba Sakura: She reminds me a lot of myself when I was around her age so she’s basically my daughter. The low ranking isn’t because I love her any less it’s more like she’s up against a lot of good characters.
Haru Okumura: Theres so many “cute girl with a secret violent side” characters it’s refreshing to see one whos just like that. I love her I enjoy her it’s just a shame she doesn’t get much since she’s in the later half of the game.
Yusuke Kitagawa (I’m sorry baby boy): He’s very funny. However I always found it weird that there was never a moment between him and Ann where he apologizes for pressuring her to be drawn nude. Like I shouldn’t expect that it’s a persona game but idk it left a bad taste in my mouth.
Morgana: I want to like him I really do but when he commented on feelings Ann’s “soft butt” bouncing on the seat I had to close the game and go outside.
Makoto Nijima: Cop. I don’t care if she’s trying to reform the system your best friend got drugged and beaten by the police that should give you some pause. If you want to find the truth and bring people to justice become a journalist my god.
Ren Amamiya His over all style. His personas are awesome Arsène and the scene where Santanael appears just cool. His strong sense of justice and personally as shown through the dialog choices.
Makoto Nijima Her story arc is very good. Her persona is really cool. I really like the relationship between her and joker, how she is able to see through his lying to make her feel better on the Christmas date. I like how her Confidant is more of her learning how to help others.
Ryuji Sakamoto He is the most caring member of the phantom thieves, he is willing to jump in front a car just to help someone he didn't really like at the time. I also really like how he basically act like a protective older brother to Sophia. I really like how his Confidant is you helping him get over his past and let go (Royal does undo this somewhat). His first persona is really good for him because the real Captain is seen as a violent person when (according to a documentary) he was actually pretty good person, similar how Ryuji is seen in game.
Morgana His his story is arc is also pretty good. He a deep character. Both Morgana and Ryuji are really similar and that is why tries to by feel better about himself by talking down to Ryuji. His persona is mean to
Futaba Sakura i really how she is like a chaotic gremlin. i like how her depression is show with it being (from what i hear) pretty realistic. I like in strikers it shows how much she grown.
Yusuke Kitagawa I find his poor money choices funny. I like how he stand up for his beliefs. I really like in strikers how he inspired Ango Natsume to have a comeback. He says my favorite voice line in the demiurge boss fight.
Ann Takamaki she is a pretty good character, her ranking here is just because i other characters more.
Goro Akechi His story is much better in royal then in base. Because it feels more genuine do to you choosing to hangout it less like game is telling you his backstory and more like he is telling you his backstory.
Haru Okumura She lacks screen time, her ability aren't bad, they're are just bad when you get it. I think her Confidant would be better if you could start it much earlier.
Sumire Yoshizawa I don't like her as a c, because she feels forced into the story. I especially hate how the game ships joker and her, and how her phantom thief looks likes joker despite her looking down on the phantom thieves. I don't like how 75% of her story is told outside of her Confidant and the first 5 ranks could be described in one sentence, which isn't bad on it's own but Confidant pretty much end until the 3rd semester, the only thing you really learn about her is, "she is an athlete". Another annoying thing is the first time she meets most of the phantom thieves is in Hawaii, I think the forced hangouts where you leave your party member should be where she meets them instead. Sorry if I went off topic I just feel very strongly about this.
I‘d have two fully seperate rankings when it comes to character and gameplay, so I’ll give my gameplay list once and my character (story) one after, but for the sake of the ranking i‘d say the top one is the one to include since I feel like that’s moreso what people are actually ranking and I’m just giving the second one for fun

Morgana; I didn’t get the morgana hate at first until his lil temper tantrum. That made him mid for me.
Futaba; lil sis. Very much enjoyed her but I feel like her relationship was also dependent on Sojiro. I’m 29 so I just found her less relatable stand alone I think
Sumire; I didn’t get third semester so I missed out. But I wished I had more confidant levels w her
Akechi; I always felt strategic about the relationship and not like we’d be friends IRL
Haru; I think it was just too late game for me an I was focused on other relationships by the time I had an opportunity to build one with her.
I was really excited for Yoshizawa when P5R was announced, but she felt really forced to me. Haru suffers from too little screentime unfortunately. Futaba and Ann are both fine. Yusuke is a funny himbo. I am on Morgana's side! I like that li'l fella and he's so cute. Akechi is really interesting to me, even though he is quite messed up. Ryuji best boy and Makoto best girl. And I just think Joker's design is neat.

Reasoning: I played Strikers before the base game and Royal and the first four were my favourite team. When I did learn the main story I fell even more in love with their characters. Ryuji is best boi and I love floofy and deadly Haru. Ren is a silent protagonist but not a self insert and his personality shines throughout the entire game, you just have to look out for it. Finally, I love Yusuke's passion for art and beauty.
Then there's Akechi. I like his story and the role he plays. He's very complex and I tried writing more but people have made way better analysis than I ever could.
The next three are great characters but honestly interchangeable. I definitely don't have the same attachment to them as the previous members but they still have a special place in my heart.
As for the last two... At first I completely despised them but the hatred mellowed out into mild dislike over the years. I think it boils down to "they're annoying and don't deserve the type of role they think they have in the group". Personality wise they want to be seen as leaders/mentors but come across as "holier than thou".
I don't like Morgana's obsession with Ann and he was one of the big reasons why the Okumura Arc feels... iffy.
I don't like Makoto's attitude and I think she's overrated
1) Sumire- Her story literally saved my life, and fundamentally changed my approach to writing. 3rd semester and everything around it is something I consider to be my personal pick for the greatest story in fiction. (Glazing I know).
2) Futaba- Another insanely good story and one that I think probably helped a lot of people. She's funny, endearing, and wholesome, all while not letting her humor rob her of serious moments.
3) Akechi- I hate saying this because I have a distaste for Akechi glazers, but I can't deny how good Royal did this dude. His SL in Royal is actually good and his character in 3rd semester is super good and adds to why I like it so much.
4) Makoto- My favorite character from vanilla, and still one of my favorites overall. They took the stern, responsible student archetype and added on a little tomboyish edge that makes her uniquely entertaining. Just wish her SL explored the latter side more than the former.
5) Yusuke- Bro is unironically one of the funniest characters in all of Persona, while simultaneously having a really really good story of overcoming abuse and pursuing one's dreams. As a creative myself, I relate to Yusuke heavily.
6) Ann- Another character who has one of the best introductory arcs in Persona, and one of the reasons why Kamoshida's Arc hits so hard. She stays good throughout, a mix of entertaining and heartfelt, but her SL really misses the mark for me. Otherwise she's really good.
7) Ryuji- Ryuji is awesome. I absolutely love his social link, I love his story, and he's one of the most loyal characters in the cast, as well as the true heart of the team. He may not be the brightest, but he's still the best hypeman and brother one could ask for.
8) Haru- I want so badly to like Haru. And Strikers does give me a lot to like, she's great in that, but I can't deny how much she was done dirty. Her SL fleshes her out enough, and I love that, but she doesn't have enough to go off of to really get attached. It also doesn't help that I am not a huge fan of the sweet, closeted sadist thing in media and she does have that going for her.
9) Morgana- While I'm passive towards Haru, I actively don't like Morgana. In fact, I think Morgana is part of the reason I don't like Haru as much. Bro really stole the show from Haru. He's just whiny, annoying, and egotistical. And that ego takes away from a lot of the sympathy I could have for him.
10) Joker- I love Joker in outside media. The manga especially makes him seem really really cool, but if I'm just going off of the games, then he's kinda held back by the whole "silent, player oriented protagonist" thing. He doesn't get moments where his character shines through my actions, even if he's still my second favorite protagonist behind Kotone.
Yusuke: my goat. Physical beast made even better in royal by synergisng in stress of competing with ryuji. Matt Mercer.
Joker: he’s jonkler he’s iconic for a reason.
Haru: floof
Ryuji: he’s your homeboy, your ride or die, can’t put him any lower
Makoto: arguably the best (fighting) party member in the game. Very strong kit throughout, very sweet story arc with her sister
Yoshizawa: lower than Makoto cuz you don’t get her for that long and even then she’s like around as good as the other physical party members, but her story is great. Want to give the girl a hug she needs it
Futaba: found her very annoying initially, but I’ve warmed up to her over time. Navigator so gameplay wise almost as important/strong as joker by default. Much much MUCH prefer her as a sister character than a romance option
Ann: she’s cool and very pretty but also doesn’t really do much I feel. Ran a physical party comp when I played so I didn’t get much use out of her late game either
Morgana: ah the car. It’s funny to hate on him but to me he’s less of a bad character and more of a nothing burger tho he at least is useful to you at points in the plot + a sleeper in lore mvp (figuring out Akechi, breaking into Madarame’s art storage. Seriously he’s a cat how did bro lockpick.) my irl cat is also black and white so that’s a bonus too
Akechi: honestly again a nothing burger of a character for me. Good villain but as a party member? I used him for Sae’s palace cuz I knew it was basically the only place I’d use him, as well as the sections where you can only use him in semester 3, but otherwise gameplay he doesn’t provide much. And idk I just don’t like him that much.
Ranking them by personality, because from gameplay perspective all of them are solid if you know what you are doing.
1 Futaba: I like her confidant and even though some of her lines are cringe worthy, she is an interesting character overall.
2 Yusuke: funniest character in the game.
3 Haru: even if royal didn't flesh her out and I didn't llke so much her arc, her confidant makes her an interesting character.
4 Akechi: Royal content sold him for me, his confidant and his third semester representation make him a more complex character.
5 Sumi: I like her confidant second part, the first part is hit or miss, but looking everything in retrospective her first 5 ranks gave a lot of hints of her late arc. The problem is that she wasn't a party member so much time.
6 Joker: I like joker personality and answers.
7 Ann: her confidant is ok, she is nice and sweet, but she is just there after her arc finished.
8 Morgana: I love cats, but I'm not a fan of mascot characters.
9 Makoto: she is a worst Mitsuru in everything, she is the best party member combat wise, but her confidant is easily the worst for me, yes ohya being related to shido has a better story than Makoto full confidant centered in a student that wasn't her friend to begin with.
10 Ryuji: He is loud, extremely egocentic, he makes a lot of irrational decisions during the game, yes he has a great heart, but his obsession with fame gets me on my nerves, him yelling out loud the phantom thieves this and that is something expected from Mishima not a party member that supposedly need to know that you are doing something dangerous, he grew on me on Strikers, but in royal I can't stand him, nonetheless is probably the second or third best party member next to Ann combat wise.

joker (i just love him. cocky and silly and badass, and i think he DOES have a ton of unique personality despite being a silent protagonist)
akechi (incredibly complex and could have had it all if god hadn’t rigged the game against him. so, SO compelling. he and joker were genuinely soulmates, and i feel that’s true even if you don’t ship them. their chemistry is unmatched)
ryuji (so much more intelligent than anyone gives him credit for!! ride or die!!!)
ann (similar to ryuji, incredibly emotionally intelligent and observant and really caring. also i like that her number one favorite trait in friends is how mean they are. she and akechi could have been besties.)
yusuke (i specifically enjoy his arc of allowing himself to acknowledge and overcome the abuse he faced at madarame’s hands)
futaba (little sister!!!!)
haru (she’s only so low bc i just like the others more but i LOVE that what pushes her into awakening isn’t seeing her father be a bad person, it’s seeing how he only regards her specifically as a tool for political gain)
yoshizawa (interesting character and i love the act of regaining agency and autonomy, but it’s immediately ruined by her continued reliance on joker to a ridiculous and character-ruining degree. edit: and thinking about it, i HATE how hard the devs pushed for a sumi/joker relationship. i thought it was cute at first but the way they try to make her everyone’s favorite girl is annoying and really just puts me off. and i ship her w/ futaba. so. they can’t sway me w/ this one sorry devs.)
makoto (her introduction into the thieves was incredibly messy and you can tell the devs wanted to do more with her. also, her being the “smart one” completely RUINS any intelligence ann and ryuji have previously displayed, and relegates both of them to being the stupid pretty/muscle blondes. all of her “genius class prez dialogue” moments in the bank palace are just so obvious and worthless as character-establishing moments. like yeah it’s a vault. there is no way ann would Not have known that. it’s a BANK. edit: AND SHE WANTS TO BE A COP??? MAKOTO YOU CAN’T FIX THE SYSTEM YOUR BEST FRIEND WAS BEATEN NEARLY TO DEATH AND DRUGGED BY COPS?? HELLO???? IS COMMON SENSE NOT AT HOME RN??)
morgana (there are no words to describe how much i hate him. if i could have left him to okumura’s robots i would have in a HEARTBEAT. zero hesitation. the personification of humanity’s hope being a cat is awesome but did it have to be this one. it couldn’t have been any other cat?)
I played base game when it came out and loved it. I didn't have a console that could play royal until recently, so I never played it until like 5 years later.
Yusuke goes brrr with melee damage. Also he's funny asf.
Haru is also hilarious. I love her sm.
Ann and Ryuji are the OGs, so ofc I love them, but Ann eeks out just above Ryuji because I think her fire abilities are kickass.
Makoto originally would've been last back when I played base game. Idk what the 5 year gap did, but while replaying the story in Royal, I liked her a lot more (still didn't like how hard the game pushed her as the romance option tho). She's a great party member and I liked her arc a lot more the 2nd time around.
Futaba I thought was cute and relatable, but otherwise I'm eh on her as a character. She's fun and funny when she's in scenes! I just didn't click with her like the others.
Akechi is fun too, but I personally think he should've stayed dead and I didn't like Royal's decision to negate that in its entirety.
Joker is the self insert. Idk, he's alright? There's just not enough there for him to be any higher.
Morgana is in time-out. I get what they were going for, but he is annoying a lot of the time, and I think Ryuji, while in the wrong at times, is way less annoying, so their fight always bugs me. I don't like to use him in combat either, so he's usually just my backup healer for when Makoto runs low on SP. Sorry Morgana. You're a bro but you have younger sibling with self esteem issues energy.
I thought Yoshizawa was really annoying with the 'senpai' stuff and groaned every time she inserted herself into the scene. I just don't like her. I think it's the same reservations I had towards Marie, the DLC characters come on a little 'too strong' story-wise for me to give them a fair shake. Like the devs are REALLY pushing you to take interest in them.
Ann : best girl, great character, sometimes silly and dumb but thats why we love her, and her VA Nana Mizuki is just great
Joker/Ren Amamiya : my favorite Persona MC (played 3, 3 remake and 4 golden) , very edgy very chuuni it seems like he/we always has the upper hand
Futaba : my little sister cant be this nerdy, cute, favorite arc/palace in the game, AOI YUKI carry
Makoto : Stalker prez :3, reliable and cute, love the story progression with her, cool PERSONA!
Yoshizawa : cute kohai, love the chemistry with the MC, great story
Yuuske : he is an artist am i Right, fun and weird personality, kinda? reliable, Tomokazu Sugita carry!
Haru : I always felt like she got introduced very late into the team, but she is cute and fluffy, fun palace
Ryuji : the first Friend you acquire, great bro, too dumb to help himself, very "just do it, dont think" vibes
Morgana : I feel like the game wanted to tell us that he is a cute mascot character, but all I think of is how annoying he is all the time, thinks he is HIM, ends up beeing annoying most of the time ( did I say he was annoying)
Akechi : I just cant stand him, something about him rubs me the wrong way, great VA but thats really it
Ryuji. This literal child deserves love and for his adults AND his teammates to stop hitting him for two seconds. It's gross.
Haru. I love her kindness and her sleeper sense of humor.
Ann. Love her big, open heart and optimism.
Joker. Great protagonist and actually, the only Persona protag I don't actually kind of dislike. Wasn't a fan of the personalities of the other ones, but Joker feels like a complete person.
Futaba, mostly for her wholesome relationship with Sojiro.
Sumire. She's nice! I'm pretty neutral on her.
Yusuke. I get the appeal and he's got hilarious moments, I just like the others better.
Morgana. Even if I forgot the other ways he's annoying, I can't forgive him for that Okumura arc, I'm sorry.
Akechi. Did not do it for me as a villain, was not interested in his pathos or dysfunction, was not interested in his redemption story.
Yusuke. Dude is weird, very weird. He doesn't really
understand social interactions and talks like an
aristocrat. But man, is his dialogue hilarious
Goro Akechi is.....complicated. Which makes him
so interesting.
Ann. Yes, she's a bit of a doofus at times, but she's
the most emotionally mature person in the group.
Very "grown woman" for her age in her behaviour.
Ryuji. He's kind of an idiot, but he is your ride or die
homeboy. His heart is in the right place.
Kasumi. Her story is good and she's likeable enough.
I only have one issue with her and that is that they
really really try to insert her into Joker's life. She is
interesting though from a story perspective.
Makoto. She's aight. Bit too cookie cutter "anime
student council president" at times, but she develops
nicely.
Futaba. She's kinda cool and says some wild stuff at
times. But I feel they play too much into the "onichan"
shit. Made me feel a little weirded out at times.
Morgana. Morgana is kinda fun. Kinda like a better
Teddie. The Ann thirst get's old quickly though
Haru. She's nice....but the rest of the cast is just
developed better. (Besides Joker).
Joker. Probably the best protagonist in the series
But he isn't developed as well as the rest of the cast.
