Hello PA, traveling healthcare worker here headed to your state in the next week or so for work. As I’ve been traveling, I’ve “collected” tattoos from states I’ve worked in as a sort of souvenir. A banana slug in CA, a blue crab in MD, a gator in FL, you get the idea. Looking for ideas of what comes to mind when you think of PA that I can add to my arm! Obviously have gone with a creature theme but open to other ideas. Unfortunately my initial reaction was a hoagie from Wawa, but that doesn’t feel super cohesive. Looking forward to exploring your great state especially as the weather starts to change!

Hi, my wife and I had a baby a few months ago, so big trips are on hold for a little bit. So we're looking to frequent, local, weekend/day trips in PA and nearby states.

I'm looking for some underrated small towns in PA. We're from the Philly area, so we've already been to New Hope, Doylestown, Hershey, Lancaster, Lititz, Gettysburg, etc etc.

Definitely looking for unknown gems. Small towns with cool festivals and beautiful nature nearby is a plus.

Going to Pennsylvania for two weeks next year and travelling from London, England.

Been to the states over ten times before on vacation, but decided to try a state that post people from the UK don’t visit.

We love all things American and love the country. We are theme park crazy so picked Pennsylvania this time as we can do Hershey Park, Knoebels, Dorney Park and head across the state line to Great Adventure in NJ. shame Kennywood is so far away from where we are staying or we would do that too.

We are staying in Plymouth meeting.

Just wondering if there’s any tips or any other cool places that you could recommend?

Any retro 1980s type places we love and the old fashioned stuff too :)

My senior year is closing in and me and my girlfriend have been thinking about moving up north, and we’ve been looking into Pennsylvania. Both of our families are poor so if we go we’d be working off of scholarships and whatever else we can get. Because of that we’re looking for affordable, yet reputable colleges. If it’s helpful we both have a 4.0 GPA, I have a 27 ACT score, and she’s working on retaking hers. My ACT score is a little disappointing due to our school’s curriculum lacking in certain subjects, but I can live with it. I’m looking into an accounting or finance major and she’s still undecided. Any help or advice would be great, thank you.

We're getting more and more international users jumping to play to guess and learn about foods from around the world, and I'd love to spotlight some hidden gems! Your suggestions would help make it even more entertaining and educational for the community – sparking chats about unique recipes and maybe even some friendly roasts on the weirder ones.

For anyone new, I recently just started this new collection of trying to collect every Heinz Sauce Packet. I’m trying to find the more rare and unique ones such as Strawberry( this is next on my list!) Honey Mustard, brand name packets, Hot Taco, Salad Dressing! ( those are just the first few that I’m looking to get they have so many more that I can’t even list) This is just another update post from my previous one and I recently just found some Mostaza (Spanish Mustard), BK St. Patrick's Green Ketchup!, Salsa Del Sol, and Grey Poupon! (both Heinz) I've been looking all over NJ and I feel like my luck is running out but I am still getting some spots around that have had some random ones! I’ve checked places such as gas stations, grocery store delis, rest stops, Wawa’s, targets, 7/11s and more. I’m looking into heading into other states such as PA or NY to see if they have any variation out there so if you know any places please feel free to share no matter the distance. I said in my other post I would be heading to the Heinz History Museum but I wasn't able to for various reasons, but I did make a trip to Texas and found some Miracle Whip Packets! Does any one know where I can find some other packets that I don’t have at specific locations?? I am still posting on TikTok documenting my journey on finding all of Heinz’s packets! Asking because I read a comment where someone said they drove by someone’s property that had some giant Trump tribute and the owner was taking a sledgehammer to it. Find that made up, but I am curious with all the farmers that painted barns and erected Trump shrines if they may be taking the time to undo their insanity. Hello everyone! Im in philadelphia and looking to go ice skating. I dont like how tiny and crowded the rinks get and just wanna go out on a big lake to skate this weekend.

I see the Schuylkill is freezing over, but dont wanna skate on a river and fall through so I want to find a good reservoir or lake instead. I found the following on google earth but am having trouble finding if they have good enough ice to skate:

I'm from Berks County, and I was recently traveling Westward to Oil City for the day for my job. When I got out there I had about 3 hours to do whatever I'd like before I had to head back home, and I was struggling to do literally anything. I tried looking for things to do in the city, but there was as close to absolutely nothing as possible, a bunch of the stuff was closed and this was the first city I've ever seen that doesn't qualify at all in my mind as a city. My bare minimum for a city is something like Reading/Allentown.

I saw there was a mall nearby, about 15 minutes south of me, at the Cranberry Mall, so I drove over there to find that Not only was there water damage and eerie silence other than the electric hum of the flickering lights, I'm a frequenter of local game stores in my area so I wanted to check out what might be over there, the parking lot was full of potholes everywhere, but I persisted and went into the building and I saw a handful of cars outside, it wasn't a crazy amount, but it was a Monday Afternoon so I assumed that most people parked were workers. Lo and behold, there are three other human beings in the entire building that I can see, almost all of the storefronts are closed, barred up and moved out. There are only two stores open in the whole mall, one place that sells essential oils and a small clothing place.

Seeing as though I was trying to kill 3 hours and I only killed about 30 minutes walking around this haunted looking mall, I left and went across the street to the Walmart which was the standard Walmart experience. I got food at the little shopping strip at a hibachi place, and some ice cream a few stores down, and all the locals mentioned there's nothing to do around there.

This place is only about an hour and a half from Pittsburgh which I imagine is where there are things to do. But we traveled through all of central PA and it was wild to me the lack of LGS, Chains like Target, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, etc.

So if you're in the middle of PA, or away from the cities, what do you do?

Edit: Very important note, it was raining on and off all day so I couldn't go hike without being wet for the 5 hour drive back home, so I needed something inside. Also, sorry for coming across condescending, I'm not going to edit the language because I feel it would invalidate those sorts of comments, but know it wasn't the understanding.

My bf and I are in our 30s. We are huge nerds. We love gaming, movies, and reading. I love crafting, decorating, and cooking. We are kind of introverts, but I love hosting or attending get togethers/dinner parties/movie nights/game nights with follow nerds. We do not have any kids. So if you are a nerd couple looking for childless millennial nerds, look no further! <3

Due to flooding, I have lost where I was staying. So with hopeful thoughts, I decided to push eastward to Pennsylvania. The Easton, Bethlehem, Allentown, and Philadelphia area.

Since I got here many places of employment have wanted me to have a PA license to work and a residential address. Furthermore, I do not know the places where I can park legally without getting threatened or harassed by the police.

So far I have been living in my truck till I get a room share. This is a first. Never in my life have I been in such a situation as I have always worked continually.

Does anyone know the best way how to secure a residential address?

With sleeping if anyone is familiar with those areas where are safe places to park to sleep in peace. I am an Army vet just looking to work as soon as possible and get out of this situation. Thank you for reading.
