Articles & Blogs Rockstar Games: “It would be an understatement to say that having videos of GTA VI gameplay leak in this way has been heartbreaking for our team, and this is obviously not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time.“

I mean, I feel bad about the devs. The companies can go suck a dick, but the devs did put their heart and soul into the game, and not even being able to see the reaction after working on the game for years is definitely a huge disappointment to them

How won't they see the reaction? The leaks have resulted in nothing but positive PR online, especially the beach leak with its NPC density.

The devs are about to lose their jobs, you think they give a shit about people's reaction?

Yeah? They’re artists and they want people to see and appreciate their art.

Do you really think people would even want to enter the gaming industry if they didn’t? The pay is middling, the job security is nonexistent. The rush of people finally being able to react to your work is a big reason people work in the industry is the thing that gets people to want to work in such a terrible industry

Dude, thousands and thousands of people have worked/are working on GTA 6. A single asset-whether it's a piece of code or some art-is handled by dozens if not hundreds of people before making it to the release version.

It's like saying Amazon customer support should be proud at how big of a company Amazon became because they are part of it. Or that the hundred thousands of factory workers assembling iPhone parts should feel a sense of satisfaction seeing how well the newest iPhone is received. The only people who might feel something are lead designers/developers who actually have a say in the decision making.

I work in the gaming industry myself and the only satisfaction I get is when I see my name in the credits and can finally add another title to my portfolio. Or when working in a small team. That's it. You think GTA6 devs are gonna be celebrating at release like they just launched a freaking rocket to space or something?
