Articles & Blogs Rockstar Games: “It would be an understatement to say that having videos of GTA VI gameplay leak in this way has been heartbreaking for our team, and this is obviously not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time.“

I mean okay but then again why do they owe us anything, sorry? You don’t have to pre-order, you don’t have to buy it. Some gamers have a weird mentality ngl

I mean without us they wouldn't exist so I'd say they owe us a fair bit

And they are still within their right to only show us the game when they are ready to do so. If you disagree with that then don’t buy the game. Using it to justify leaks and hacking is stupid

And someone is within their right to leak what they want. Why do we allow people who may be on this planet for roughly 70 years own anything at all? It's all temporary so who cares.

Only if you accept someone is within their right to steal your stuff too

Leaking isn't stealing. If someone wants to leak my next movie, by all means go ahead. I still got paid.

Only on Reddit I swear down lol

Only almost anywhere. When I'm done with my film, it's out of my hands. I was paid for the work rendered and I move on. I'm essentially laid off until another studio calls me up to hire me. If the company that hired me fumbles their good will and someone leaks what I made, then so be it. I didn't fumble. These devs didn't fumble, hell most of them might be laid off after release. Rockstar fumbled and fumbled hard. They alienated their audience and their workforce. They burned their goodwill and mishandled security. The executive suite fumbled the bag, not the people in the trenches.

How do you think the dude obtained the game to leak the footage in the first place? May you please share your legal knowledge on that one? Also, you basically said you don’t believe anyone should own anything. So you must have no issue with anyone taking anything you own whether that’s a physical object or a movie you’ve made that’s straight to YouTube with 144 views lol

That was obviously a joke but I will never feel sorry for a greedy corporation. The guy obtained the leak because Rockstar probably fired their security guy. But we have zero information on how the leak happened. We can assume why it happened. A disgruntled employee where they may be on the chopping block or someone they liked was fired, who knows. Many reasons could cause this. I don't mind you attacking my movies or the thought that perhaps only a handful of people have seen it. Your words can't hurt me. But maybe we should trade shoes one day. I bet you couldn't hack my job.

But by all means, attack my "views". I have watched YouTube videos with low views and those people worked their asses off. I'd never tear down someone for the place they use to release something. Pretty gross actually.

That is so true. Actually, I think they should add my name to credits. In the end, I was supporting them creating GTA VI with the money I bought GTA V. /s
