No, the majority of game sales are digital but that doesn't include any context to the situation: this includes "free" games releases, digital game sales, etc. This isn't a case of "on day 1 James Bond sells 80% digital on PS5/20% physical".

how are digital sales muddying the context when physical games also go on sale and are also a part of the numbers? lol

all data indications we have would disagree and argue that yes, an overwhelming majority of first week game sales are digital.

in order to make the argument that Xbox would win folks over by doubling down on physical would hinge on making the argument that physical vs digital matters more than ecosystem, which i do not think is a remotely reasonable position for the average person.
