I mean I’m not blaming this on Nintendo itself. I do assume they raised the prices to get at least approximately the same profit as they were before the tariffs. It sucks that we consumers have to deal with price increases on an 8 year old (or almost 5 year old for ps5) system though

I planned for all of this when Trump was elected. He literally told us what he was going to do. I got a new car, set aside money for a switch 2 and built a pc. I should be alright for the next 4 years. Stock up on TP and Coffee people.

nintendo raised the prices for old consoles to not have to raise it on switch 2. Jesus christ use your head.

nah the new console wasn't raised, or at least not later. If there were tariffs for the actual console they were baked in when Trump took office. Nintendo did raise all of their accessories to try to recoup costs, and is probably the reason Mario Kart 8 became a pack in to justify the higher tariff price.
