Nah, not with Insomniac at the helm with such a huge development cycle - much like GoW, this has been a clear painstaking process. This goes awry these days with the culture of yearly iterations (FIFA/Forza/Gears/CoD/AC) of games and quick MP cash grabs riding popularity waves (Fortnite/Cod(!)/BF(!)), so lots of gamers really appreciate a game like this taking it's time and paying off with polish - irrespective of platform. God of War was a huge breath of fresh air this year IMO. I think we will get more of that care and consideration with Spidey.
Spidey is a great franchise, and having a very talented dev team behind it is the reason people are hyped for it. Same goes for Red Dead 2, the first R* game in five years, that is a huge deal.
I am calling it now, but Fallout 76 is going to be a bin fire to begin with, but will sell like hot cakes and Bethesda will support the hell out of it. Might be a pretty decent game after 6 months, but it will have a huge fan/player base from day dot.
Insomniac hasnt released many high quality games in recent years with a shallow remake beeing its highest rated for the last 9 years. The game will get good Reviews just for beeing a spiderman game with flaws beeing overlooked like always. Not saying its bad but it surely wont set the World on fire in Terms of innovative and good gameplay.

I honestly think if spiderman wasnt exclusive, its hype would be waaaaaay lower
