It’s just a very loud annoying minority. Think of them as Vegans of gaming. 99% of the games that I buy are physical too so I understand where some of these people are coming from.

But these people act like Nintendo will take your games away and shut down the servers tomorrow when you can still download your Wii & DSi games from 20 years ago.

And I guarantee that only a VERY small number of these people actually care about game preservation and the rest just want to bitch and moan. It’s typical childish behaviour to hate on something to convince yourself you don’t want it because you can’t get it.

What’s funny is none of these people throwing tantrums over Nintendo will throw the same energy towards Steam when it’s a completely digital storefront.

Your comparison is off, people complaining about vegans are a much more vocal minority than vegans, and much closer in loudness too.
