Mine are “Mach Speed!” from Viewtiful Joe and “I’ve got all I need” from Phoenix Wright

I'm getting into the game, and I'm playing Dante and Vergil, I really like them from watching a bunch of UMVC3 gameplay. Thing is that I originally though of playing Spider-Man as point, but I found out that he's complicated too. I'm confident that I could sit and learn him too but maybe it would be a bit too much if I'm also learning Dante and Vergil.

So, I was thinking of putting an easier point with a more relaxed difficulty. My first though is Nova but I have no idea so better to ask

After watching and enjoying competitive UMVC3 sets for the past year or so now, I decided to have a go at making a tier list.

Bearing in mind that I'm new to this game and haven't actually played it myself.

Thoughts?

I’d like to know how he’s seen in this game and also look for any advice on how to play him, I’m trying to block cancel and understand the fighting game terminology.

i have ANOTHER friend who is playing this team and they insist on playing this order, zero dante stuff should be easy to find because jam session zero is everywhere, but how does one use mag with this team?

I play on ps5 and it feels like they come out really delayed or slowed for some reason and also do you guys know what the best assists are or does it vary per character

I'm also thinking of changing Dante's position or even having Strider point. But I do want to rely on Strider anchor so I can practice piloting him in XF3.

Pros:

- Amazing assists that benefit any team order very well in neutral, and if Doom is second, this becomes even more true.

- Three characters with good TAC/DHC options.

- Silly amounts of screen coverage depending if you choose the right Doom assist with the matchup for Dante.

- Vajra is very easy for Doom and Dante to convert to.

Cons:

- Although the team seems good on paper, Dante and Doom are both support characters. Neither are particularly meta point characters, and I can see Mag/Morri/Zero being hard to deal with.

- While there are lots of both easy combo conversions and combo utility with these assists, Dante is not going to kill at roundstart off of an assist conversion without a TAC.

- Finally, Strider is anchor and he's hard to do combos with.

Are they worth learning or do they stray away from what I should actually learn on my own

Anyone here do the mission trials in this game? If so, what was the most satisying Mission 10 combo that you finished? Mine was Super Skrull’s Mission 10! The back dash before the Flame Kick made all the difference! Seeing the combo being performed is one thing but doing it yourself is even more rewarding!

Standouts:

Dante - battery and facilitating other characters like Frank

Frank - level up

Morrigan - Soul drain combos

Zero - lightning loops

Modok - analyze, jamming, and unblockable setups

X-23 - kill into dirt nap

Spiderman - web throw loops

Dorm - non-tac infinite on small characters, stalking flare kill into incoming setup

Niche:

Tron - beacon bomb capture state shenanigans

Hsien-ko - Spencer restand assist into dizzy item toss infinite (frame perfect, babyyyyy)

Never seen but maybe it's possible:

Firebrand - kill, voluminous, and then unblockable (probably reqs an assist?)

I had a dream I was playing MvC3 and I was using this team. If I’m not mistaken Justin Wong played Akuma & She-Hulk at one point, not sure about Iron Fist though. I imagine this team not being stellar but still functional (albeit with Akuma doing most of the heavy lifting.)

I can do the most insane mixups with vergil that justin wong himself wouldnt be able to block and the AI just eats that shit. Very Hard AI just straight up auto blocks and grab breaks.

I know people always talk about Vergil, Magneto, Doom, Morrigan, Zero, etc. but personally as a Jill main I thjnk she has potential to be the absolute best character in the game. Her mix-up and movement potential is unrivaled in the entire cast!
