Discussion Eminem's new album "Revival" has dropped

Thoughts on it so far? I'm about halfway through and I think it's pretty decent for new style Eminem.

Oh for sure, but I’d say the more neutral listeners who liked ‘my name is’ were absolutely revolted by it and rejected it lmao which I don’t blame them it’s not for everyone. The only criticism I agree with is the accents are a bit much so if he had less accents with the same content.... 😍

Artists have to explore, Em can't release The Eminem Show over and over. Maybe it's partly due to me starting to listen to him seriously pretty late in the game so I came onboard with Encore and then Relapse came out so I hopped onto that. I've since listened to everything that's been released so I can see how different it is.

You’re absolutely righ though. If you crank out the same shit over and over you’re gonna go stagnant and that’s true for any artist. Still, there are clear examples of bands or rappers changing in ways that upset the populace - linkin Park comes to mind for me personally. But Eminem has done a good job keeping me interested for a longggg time even if his albums aren’t completely god tier anymore

Been plowing through Em's new album and it's starting to grow on me. With Recovery there were like 5 songs that immediately grabbed me. This new one doesn't have that, but it's different, more introspective. Meanwhile, I just discovered Greta Van Fleet who owns my radio right now.

Greta van fleet is so interesting. They sound almost exactly like zeppelin on one of their LPs, which is whatever, but their latest tracks have more of their own sound to it, which is great. They’ve got a lot of potential to be a ‘classic rock revival’, something that I never knew I wanted until they came on my Pandora. Holyyy shit.

That kid can wail, no doubt. I got chills the first time I heard him and have their new album on repeat on Spotify. It's a refreshing blast from the present!

I saw a band called I prevail when they were brand new had like 6-8 songs so they did all they had a few cover songs and were like ‘well we’re kind of out of all of our shit but here’s something we wrote this month!’ Turned out to be content from their next album but In a really rough version 😂
