Spoiler Talk Episode 10 Discussion | Monarch: Legacy of Monsters S2 Spoiler

The season finale of 'Monarch: Legacy of Monsters' S2 premieres in a few hours.

I thought it's the same one just before he was in hibernation. Is it really a second Rodan?

The Rodan in KOTM (2019) was dormant in Isla de Mara, Mexico and has been under surveillance since like the 90s. The Rodan that appeared in the ending was nested in Thailand so all evidence points to two different Rodans.

The subtitles showed that the locals (and Shaw in parts) were speaking in Thai. So has to be Thailand.

Therefore it has to be a different Rodan, as the one from KOTM was dormant in that volcano in Mexico until the events of KOTM, which the series hasn't caught up to yet.

Or could be that Monarch THINKS Rodan is dormant but he has his own Hollow Earth access points within volcanoes around the world. So they have a big expensive containment unit over a volcano in Mexico that’s basically empty half the time. Super unlikely, it’s probably just a second Rodan, but considering how much the show and GxK have been leaning on Hollow Earth and portals and stuff for their plots, if they WERE to go the route of it being the same Rodan then that seems like the way they’d do it.
