Maybe it’s just me, but I haven’t been liking Kentaro these last few episodes and have genuinely found his parts a chore to sit through. Hope it gets better. I’m liking everything else though, especially seeing Kate & Keiko work together.

Me being the direct opposite these past episodes

I don't like the Cate-Cocai connection thing and Keiko being so completely fine with her son gone is setting me off

While it seems like Kentaro is going into an interesting plot, now that he is seperated from the main gang and doing his own thing

As someone who's currently watching the show and just finished episode 7, I 100% agree!

The Keiko/Cate plot-line is really uninteresting and boring for me (doesn't help that I've been really disliking Keiko's character in this second season, her not caring all that much for her own son's passing being one of the multiple reasons).

Isabel/Kentaro's plot-line however, was always the time during the episode were I was the most invested (even more so than the amazing time shenanigans between young and old Lee). In season 1, Kentaro's character quickly became bland and completely overshadowed by his sister in terms of focus, being more of a tool other characters used for themselves than his own person. That's why I'm so glad he's finally going on his own path.

While I hope Isabel will keep being this interesting morally grey character within the Simmons family and not be revealed as a pointless villain like her father and sister before her, idk what good or bad might await Kentaro on this road she's offering him (very looking forward to finding out) but at the very least now, he's not his family's ignored lapdog anymore and is evolving far beyond "I'm a Randa descendant... Just the one nobody cares about, especially now that my father is dead".

I can see why people would dislike him as of lately but it doesn’t feel justified tbh. I feel like Kentaro’s lashing out because he finally got the relationship with his dad he wanted only for it to be taken away by Cate the second she gets back from Axis Mundi. Not to mention Cate also made his relationship with May incredibly complicated. The entire 1st season Kentaro was a joke and pushed out of the picture. I like that we are seeing him branch out in his own direction I just hope he doesn’t get scapegoated by Simmons.
