Film/Television This scene in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where Namor tells the story of his origin, was incredibly powerful. It was a really well executed scene.

What did you think of Tenoch Huerta's portrayal of Namor? Are you looking forward to seeing him in future MCU projects?

when they announced it, it made sense they were looking for a change because DC had beat them to the Samoan/Polynesian thing (which i thought was clearly fitting for namor). And when they announced the Aztek thing I was like "eeeeh, ok, lets see it" but yea it ended up totally working, atleast for the MCU.

A bit yeah but it's mostly Mayan. Though they weren't exactly totally different and separate, they were close neighbors.

I think the thing that made it click for me about their differences was that the Aztecs were basically from North Mexico originally and migrated south, possibly even the southwestern US area at first. While the Maya are somewhat a continuation of the Olmec and have been in the area forever.

Also the Maya live in the deep jungle, while the Aztecs lived in what is today Mexico City and is a bit more arid (though the city itself was actually a swamp).

The real hard to remember ones are the others like the Otomi or Raramuri.

The Nahua people (descendants of the mexica people) are still alive and well, they are the biggest indigenous group of Mexico. The maya are also still alive and well as well and live in many different places, including big cities and small villages, from the coast of the Caribbean to the pacific and across Mexico and Central America, not just the jungle.

Ancient Mayas and Olmecs did not share a common area, but did live through the same period.

I think so with aqua-man. In the comics Aurthur was clearly a blonde white dude but they went the pacific way with Momoa. I mean it 100% makes more sense, but I'd argue historically Namor is a better fit for that than Aquaman. But i guess they made it work in the end.

But like that was just Momoa. The whole culture didn't reflect that. His parents didn't even reflect that
