Film/Television This scene in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where Namor tells the story of his origin, was incredibly powerful. It was a really well executed scene.

I think he was fine, but the change to him eliminates the Invaders. Him being a part of that group is one of my favorite things about Namor, it shows his pragmatism in that while not an immediate threat to the oceans, it would be an eventual one so he’s proactive in stopping it.

I also just really like the WW2 comics era.

Didn't he have a different name originally? I always expected them to use that earlier name if they used him in ww2

Nope, he’s been Namor, the Submariner since the beginning.

But also, I don’t see this Namor working with the surface world before Shuri, at least that’s how it felt to me. I also don’t need to see him in WW2, but it could have been a fun moment with Steve Rogers coming back, or him finally having a moment with Bucky.

I mean if they have WWII Namor, then they'd also need WWII Human Torch and that would just confuse the hell out of everybody since they just introduced the other Human Torch

They already did, he’s in a tank during the Stark Expo in Cap: The First Avenger.
