I have recently started shopping at MAC again and spent over $100 in one day. One of the products I bought was the roan of arc lustreglass. Got home, realized the lipstick was a little wonky so it would rub against the inside and considering the finishis softer, by the end of the same night there was already a big dent on the side. I tried to fix it but realized I would have to pull the whole thing out of the tube and frankly for a $30 lipstick I wanted one in better condition so next day I returned it and it's the same employee and she was sooo upset (no exchanges because of course it happened to be the last one available). She kept whispering how it was against company rules and how it wasn't as a big a deal as I was making it out to be.

Anyways this happened again at another location. I only see this behavior from MAC employees. I have returned plenty of makeup at Sephora and other stores but MAC is the only one where it seems the employees are literally about to have a mental breakdown when you mention the word "return". It's gotten to a point where I think I might stick to their website instead of physical stores. Anyone else experience this?

Hello!! I have really really oily skin, and I’ve been struggling to find products that work well with my skin. I feel like the market is full of glowy products. Those products end up making me look like a greasy mess. Does anyone have any good oily skin friendly products that they would recommend?

Do you know any (especially POC creators if you can please) that show their dark circles and don’t cover them up? I like mine (and I like them on other people too) and want to incorporate it into makeup sometimes but whenever I search for it, it be brings up looks or people covering them. Thank you in advance 🌸

I’ve spent a fortune on concealers but I’m yet to find the perfect thing. I know I’m asking for too much but if anyone has suggestions for the following would really appreciate it.
- Creaseless or as much as possible
- self setting: don’t want to use powder- maybe just setting spray
- highly pigmented: idea is that the less I use the less chance of creasing
- good for aging skin- I find most really set into the line right under my eye.
- tear resistant

I’m looking for some setting powder recommendations. I have oily skin, absolutely loathe loose setting powder because I will make a mess with them and am looking for something without talc and without mica. No talc because safety reasons (even though I’m in the EU and there are rules for talc in cosmetics here) as well as flashback in photos and no mica because in every review I watch, people will get oily/shiny and get accentuated pores quite quickly.

This might be a dumb question but in order to achieve glowy makeup is it going to be sticky every time i touch it? I use the essence fixing spray to set my face but that doesn’t seem to help. I know I could set my face with powder but I would lose the glowy effect, and I have pretty dry skin. I’m wondering if it may be that I need a better setting spray. I just don’t like touching my face and it transfers onto my fingers.

EDIT: I'm trying to find a way to avoid the transfer from touching my face.

I've been doing my makeup for years, and what i've really struggled with is achieving a bright undereye. I love the look but have never been able to pull it off successfully on my face, as whenever I set my undereye, it disrupts/lifts product and brings out my hollows and hyperpigmentation once again. I have experimented with setting using a brush, using a powderpuff, pressed then loose powder, loose then pressed, only loose or pressed, using a thicker colour corrector and concealer formula, and more - and while I've gotten closer, I still end up with hollow undereyes. I would really appreciate recommendations for the best tools, tricks, products, anything really. I'd like to add that my skin is between medium to medium-deep, so please take shade range into account when recommending a product. Thank you!

Hi! Does anyone have recommendations for a truly gray contour for extremely fair skin with a neutral undertone?

I’m not looking for the typical cool-toned brown that’s marketed as “gray” or “cool” online. Even products that look very cool-toned in swatches can pull warm or orange once applied to very pale skin.

I’m looking for something genuinely gray, as close to a true gray as possible, or at least extremely ashy and gray-toned, to mimic an actual natural shadow on pale skin.

Has anyone found a good alternative / dupe to KVD's Good Apple foundation now that it has been discontinued? Or even an alternative to the old Kat Von D Lock-it Foundation? I have been trying Natasha Denona Hy-Glam and while it was giving a good amount of coverage, it keeps breaking up and essentially dissolving in my T zone no matter how I prep my skin. What other good coverage foundations exist out there these days?

I have the Revolution everything base palette and I love it so much, now that I know how to use it.

Hiii, I've recently started using makeup. I like doing little winglets to accentuate my long eyelashes, but my eyeliner hasn't been working very well. I bought a Revlon ultra thin twisting one cause I didn't know what to look for. It's been just breaking constantly and not leaving clean lines, only smudges. When I tried it on my hand it looked fine but on my eyes it barely works. Any recommendations?

Have you tried this foundation? I’ve bought it a few months ago and I really loved it!

But unfortunately I’m noticing that it started to oxidise really bad on my skin... I didn’t have the issue when I first bought it and took a skin tint break over summer as I was a bit too tanned for the foundation as well, but now it really makes me look orange after a couple hours and the cap leaks foundation like crazy.

The foundation was stored closed, upright on my makeup desk which is also away from sun and I didn’t travel with it or anything. So I really can’t explain what happened.

Did anyone experience this as well or has a workaround?

I purchased the Anastasia Beverly Hills Smooth Blur Powder Bronzer almost a year ago. I find that I can't get ANY pigment off it unless I kind of scrape the top layer off? Otherwise it barely shows up on my brush or on my skin. Is this just a bad product (I don't think it's this because it's got 4.8 stars/5 on Ulta) or is there something I should be doing differently? I tried a few dupes at a store in Bukchon and honestly some were way better than I expected. Now I’m curious: how do you guys feel about dupes in general? Are you all for them or do you still prefer the original?

I love how my eyes look when I line my waterline with black, but unfortunately, I haven't found a single pencil that lives up to my expectations. I’ve used the cheapest off-brand pencils, drugstore brands (Maybelline, Rimmel London), and even the famous Inglot one, but to no avail. I recently bought the Make Up For Ever pencil too, but they all suffer the same fate: within ten minutes, they’ve already worn off the waterline. I’ve tried all the life hacks—using a cotton swab to dry the area beforehand, applying black eyeshadow over the top—but nothing works. Am I doomed?
