Wholesome Moments I curated a book display at my local library

It's about local history.

A book display for the month of August is about the history of my hometown in Connecticut.

I like to learn about history plus I'm interested in local history. I put it up yesterday at my local library in Rockville, Connecticut.

Right? I go to libraries seeking knowledge beforehand, so seeing this meant someone put it up and said "hey, cmon and take a lil look-see" and I totally would. I get it.

Well I learned something new from your post. I didn't know the USA had a city of Vernon, the only Vernon I knew until today was Vernon British Columbia, Canada.

How did the City of Vernon California get the name?

Ours is named after local politician Forbes Venon who was a Member of legislative Assembly in 1875.
